Thanks for your question. Yes! You can have fat grafting to your hips as part of a mommy makeover. "Mommy makeover" refers to any combination of procedures designed to return you to your pre-pregnancy appearance. Breast surgery and abdominal surgery are most frequently part of a mommy makeover, but many other areas can be included as well, including your hips.
Thank you for your question. Mommy makeovers involve various combinations of proceudres to improve the breasts, abdomen, hips, back, arms, legs, buttocks, etc...Combination procedures can give powerful results but safety is key. You definitely have to choose your surgeon correctly and make sure that he/she has the training and experience to meet your goals with absolute safety. Best is to have a consultation with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon with specialized expertise in this procedure.
Hello! You can decide wherever you would like the fat to go - there is no standard. Everything is individualized.I would recommend you see a board certified plastic surgeon for a consultation. She/he will consider your medical history and do a full exam, while also taking your goals into account.Best of luck!
Mommy makeovers can include a variety of different procedures, like breast implants and/or a lift, a tummy tuck, liposuction, and fat transfer. During a consultation, my patients and I discuss which procedures will do the best in order to achieve their aesthetic goals.Thank you for your question!Dr. Schreiber
Without photos or a consultation, it is difficult to make a specific recommendation. The MM typically entails breast augmentation and TT. I would advise performing the liposuction of the abdomen, sides, and back with the fat transfer to the hips first followed by the TT and breast augmentation. The keystone to the Mommy Makeover is the tummy tuck, and when doing a tummy tuck, some of the best and most transferable fat can be found in the lower abdomen and love handles which are routinely removed during a tummy tuck.If you were my patient and you wanted a fat transfer to your hips (also known as lateral thighs), then I would first liposuction your lower abdomen, process this fat, turn you over, liposuction the love handles, take this fat and any other fat on the back that is necessary, graft this to your lateral thighs, turn you over once more, and complete the tummy tuck. That way, good transferable fat will not be discarded unnecessarily. The Maryland/D.C. and Virginia areas has an inordinate number of world famous Board Certified plastic surgeons. Do your research on RealSelf and other sites, then choose three of these surgeons to consult with. Choose the plastic surgeon you feel most comfortable with and whose answers make the most sense.
Hello and thank you for your question. Thebest advice you can receive is from an in-person consultation. If you are in good health and can obtain medical clearance from your primary physician, then fat grafting to the hips can be safely performed at the same time as a mommy makeover. Make sure you specifically lookat before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgeryperformed by your surgeon and evaluate their results. The mostimportant aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommendthat you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon whocan evaluate you in person.Best wishes and good luck.Richard G. Mixmia. Photos would help, but fat transfer to hips at time of Mommy Makeover is reasonable, and would add only 30 minutes or so to the procedure. Be certain you are healthy and ready for the operation. Be sure to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. Good luck!
Thank you for your question. Yes, you can have fat transfer to the hips at the time of a mommy makeover. Without pictures it would be hard to give a recommendation on what would be best for you. Best to speak to a board certified plastic surgeon in person. All the best,
It is possible to have fat transferred to the hip area. You will need to be evaluated to determine if you have enough fat to harvest to help you achieve the look you desire. See a board certified plastic surgeon in your area for a consultation to learn more.
Thanks for the question. There's no age limit for mommy makeover procedure. However, patients must be over 18 years of age.
Good luck. You'll need it. Because every surgery, no matter how good or careful the surgeon, how fit and ideal the patient, carries a risk of major or minor complications. Cheap surgery is a raffle. Many win, some lose.
The short answer is yes, your result will be affected. It is very important to wear a compression garment after lipo or tummy tuck. The reason is that the surgical space likes to fill with fluid after surgery. This fluid is what we call a seroma, which is one of the most common...
