I'm so happy to share my experience returning my thighs back to their normal contour and shape because of the skill, experience, and amazing care team of Dr Darren Smith and his staff, from the front office (Fotini and Rachel), to Dr Smith and nurse Katie and his expert staff.

Before I found Dr Smith, I had undergone a fat transfer procedure with another board certified plastic surgeon who specialized in breast reconstruction, and it involved liposuction from areas of my body where enough fat could be removed to reconstruct my breasts.

While the surgeon did a good job on my breasts, she had taken fat from my right butt cheek in error, leaving a very noticeable dent. She also had left significant track marks down my left thigh and an uneven contour was apparent.

The right butt check dent was most significant needing repair, and while I waited months for my body to settle and dissolve scar tissue, I scoured the internet searching for someone who could understand my situation because seeing what had happened to me in the mirror on a daily basis was traumatizing.

I spoke to doctors in NY and LA, and none of them demonstrated the kind of presence and empathy while listening, that Dr Smith demonstrated. I knew immediately he could help me repair, he was honest and realistic with what we'd need to do, and the timeline to do it. He said to me "if you are willing to partner on this journey, we will do this together." I felt seen and heard, and I cried.

After the consult, I waited for his staff to prepare the fees and I'll admit, I was terrified of seeing it because of the prior consults I'd been through were close to a down payment on a new home, but when they presented the treatment and fees I cried again because they were so reasonable and affordable. I knew I was going to be okay.

Now, a year later, I'm back to normal and the experience was seamless, I healed so well, and as discussed with Dr Smith, my body is resettling itself into normal shape, and he continues to watch to ensure we are on track, which we are.

I recommend Dr Darren Smith to anyone needing plastic surgery, whether it be first time but definitely to repair damage caused by other surgeons who are careless with preparing themselves and their staff for surgery. You will never regret any discussion with him and his staff, and they are available to discuss and not pushy at all. There are many surgeons out there who are either careless, aggressive and charge reasonable fees, or who create a mirage and image to justify astronomical fees and orchestrate their consults like closing a deal. Dr Smith is the complete opposite and highly talented.

My relationship with Dr Smith and his staff is a forever relationship because we've been through this together, and I'm so happy at the other side of the journey because of them.

After meeting with several doctors I read about Dr. Smith and reluctantly made an appointment. At this point, I had met with several doctors. I met with Dr. Smith and was immediately sold based on the expectations he set for himself. His level of confidence in how satisfied I would be was infectious and I knew he was the one.

I had my surgery in August. In addition to my breast lift Dr. Smith also performed arm lift surgery, also known as brachioplasty. I have to admit I had not researched this procedure as well as I should have. The gods blessed me because Dr. Smith did a wonderful job on my arms and I am very happy with the results. The recovery was challenging (again, based on my lack of research). Dr. Smith was never concerned and answered all of my post-op questions with patience and expertise.

The ladies - Nurse Katie, Rachel & Fotini...there are simply no words to describe them. I never ever felt alone with them as part of my team. I will be forever grateful to this office and willing to speak to anyone who wants additional details on Dr Smith. He is the real deal!

I had a Facelift (Rhytidectomy) and Neck Lift (Platysmaplasty) w/Dr. Darren Smith (Manhattan, E 57th St.).

There aren’t enough superlatives to communicate my positive experience with him and his entire team, as well as the remarkable outcomes from the simultaneous facelift and necklift.

The results are natural and restorative. I'm in my late 40’s, healthy, fit, and have long received the desired results via filler and botox until the problem became more structural. Face muscles started to sag, sagging jowls, loose skin under the neck — it all pulled downward. Gone was my heart-shaped face and in its place was a box-like, square appearance, lacking definition (even my smile had become square-ish). He fixed all of that, restoring me back to how I see myself in my mind's eye. Beautiful jawline and neck, a restored heart-shape face and smile, and my skin is simply remarkable in both its smoothness and texture.

Forgive the hyperbole, but the results feel like a mini-miracle.

Cost-wise, it was in the $25k range and that included all pre-op, op, and post-op (Note: There’s a charge for the consultation, which I viewed as a positive. If a surgeon had enough free time to offer his time for free, I’d be concerned).

Absolutely incredible- truly zero complaints from start to finish. I began breast augmentation consultations in February. I spoke to a few doctors and got a general idea of what I was looking for. I met one doctor that I really liked, but her quote was extraordinarily high for a straight forward implant. I then found Dr. Smith. Before I even met him, I had a feeling this would be my doctor. His instagram made it feel like he truly cared about his patients and people, not just their results. Rachel, the practice’s patient concierge, was hands down the nicest person I spoke to in my search. When I finally went to the office, I knew immediately. Dr. Smith and Fotini, the practice manager, made me feel so comfortable and heard and understood. We did imaging so I could get a better understanding of what results might look like, and they answered every single question- no matter how silly. When Fotini brought me surgery dates, I asked about how quickly they move- she was so clear about not wanting to feel like a “car salesman” and not wanting anyone to feel pressured into it. That being said- I booked my procedure and put my down payment in before even leaving the office.
Surgery day came and again, I was so comfortable. Everyone made me feel so excited and special. The anesthesiologist was an incredible guy, Katie, the nurse, made me feel so safe. The whole experience was just incredible.
Now for the results- superb. I have not had one single regret. Dr. Smith knew EXACTLY what to do. I followed his recommendations entirely- he even suggested a different profile than the other doctors, and while I was a bit worried because it isn’t as common, it was so clear that he was making the assessment based on me and my body, versus just the most popular profile, and he turned out to be 1000% right. I get compliments consistently- even a few days after, when they “should” be looking quite wonky, people were astounded at how natural they looked. My gynecologist even asked for his referral!! They look incredible, they are healing impeccably. Every time I reached out to follow up via email with a question, the team called me, FaceTimed me to check in, and made sure everything was in order. Every time I go into the office for a follow up, I feel like I have my own personal hype team. It truly always starts my day off fantastic!

Great bedside manner and always willing to make things right. Great attention to detail and ability to listen.Had a few concerns of my initial result and acknowledged them and didn't hesitate to resolve them (which he did) , no deflection or making me feel unheard !

I'm in my early 60's and have lost and gained weight many times since my teens. As a result, i ended up with a great deal of ugly loose skin on my arms and thighs. I decided to do something about it. During my consultation, Dr. Smith explained which procedures would give me the best results and I immediately booked an arm lift surgery and a thigh lift surgery. I had them 6 weeks apart. I'm very happy with the results! Dr. Smith is professional, honest, and an incredibly gifted surgeon. He is always so nice and provides excellent care. The Practice Manager Fotini helped me through both procedures. She is beautiful both inside and out. Nurse Katie is so sweet and provided me with everything I needed for a successful recovery. Rachel always greets me with a warm smile and schedules appointment times that work best for me. I recommend Dr. Smith wholeheartedly and will only go to him for future procedures.

Dr. Smith's office was the first to contact me after my inquiries about breast fat transfer (to a few offices) and he was able to see me very soon. His staff was very professional and caring. He was very down-to-earth and was realistic about my results. I am also a doctor and he did not dumb down anything for me and answered all my questions realistically (for example, he said the fat grafts might not take) - yet I was already aware of that. This is not a cheap procedure and please be reasonable with your expectations.

The day of my surgery went by swimmingly. I am in some pain but I think it was worth it. As a thin Asian with small (yet perky) breasts I think this is the best "natural" breast enhancement you can do. He asked me to do a mammogram beforehand which is absolutely reasonable. It showed that I have "very dense" breast tissue.

It is obviously too early to tell the full results of my procedure but I will be updating this post!

I had a tuberous breast augmentation in with silicone implants and I never could have expected to have such beautiful breasts. Dr. Darren was very trustworthy and listened to all my concerns. Where other doctors had told me I would need multiple surgeries and not to expect such a great outcome, Dr. Smith assured me that he would be able to perform this surgery with a beautiful outcome. Recovery was not bad, just some sensation of burning on day 2 & 3 other than that I was very pleasantly surprised with how quickly I recovered. I would recommend Dr. Smith to everyone!!! He has proven himself to be a top tier surgeon in his field and was actually the cheapest option (not the reason I chose him) out of the 7 surgeons I saw for consultations in NYC.
