I Have Loose Skin in Abdominal What Should I Do? (photo)

I am 22 yrs old i am very insecure about my stomach. I can not afford to have a tummy tuck for 2 reasons: a. can not afford to take time off work and b. the cost... Would I be an ideal candidate for smart lipo? or maybe even thermage? i dont care about the stretch marks i just want a flat tight stomach.. i have been going to the gym and not matter how much weight i loose my stomach remains the same.. I NEED HELP.. i also had my appendix removed hint the dot above what is suppose to be my navel.

A: No substitute for a tummy tuck None of the less invasive procedures, whether liposuction or skin tightening, will be of any value to you. I understand your feelings about the state of your abdomen. If you cannot afford surgery, perhaps you should consult one of the academic programs to see whether a highly reduced rate would apply to a teaching case.

Is Thermage Same As Ulthera?

I had their age to lift my neck, it did not really work. Now I am considering Uthera but would like to know if it is more effective than their age? Renee

A: Thermage and Ultera Are both non-surgical tightening mechanisms. There is a difference in the method of delivery but I am skeptical about both. They deliver very limited rejuvenation and tightening and most of the patients I see as a plastic surgeon require more aggressive treatment. I am reluctant to provide a service which I know will not produce a high level of patient satisfaction and prefer to use fillers for rejuvenation and for patients to save their hard earned money for surgery.

Anyone Know Which is Better-Thermage Vs. Ablative Lasers Vs. Lifestyle Lift?

Can anyone offer comment on the pros and cons of Thermage vs. ABlative lasers vs. Lifestyle Lift or suggest the best minimally or non-invasive technique? I am 50, beginning to show aging signs and am looking for employment. Understanding how "superficial" companies are today, I wanted to get some expert advice on what works best. Thanks so much!!

A: Noninvasive methods If you are job hunting, I would recommend a combination of filler and Botox, subject to your personal needs. Thermage, if and when it works, takes a while to demonstrate a result. Lasers will have down time. And the lifestyle lift, which is advertised as minimally invasive, is an operation but one which does not have lasting results as it is superficial. I think that filler and Botox will fulfill your needs without surgery and produce more consistent results across the patient spectrum. Best of luck in your job search.
