Dear antonice18,I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a breast lift surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively. At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides you will be able to see the final result of your surgery.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Hello and thank you for the question. I would address your concerns with your board-certified plastic surgeon. Best,
Asymmetry can be caused by a multitude of issues postoperatively. Recommend that you followup with your PS.Kenneth Hughes, MD, ABPS Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA
The wrinkling will go away as the swelling subsides. You may find you become more even as you heal. Just be patient. Please discuss any concerns you have with your surgeon.
Hello, and thank you for your question. (Keep in mind that an in-person consultation is necessary for the best advice.) It has only been 4 weeks since your surgery. You are still swollen. Your skin is still contracting. Your breasts are still settling. In short, your body is still healing and may take up to 6-12 months to fully complete the healing process. Be patient, and follow up with your plastic surgeon. Best of luck!Matthew A. DelMauro, M.D.
Hello dear!!Thanks for your question and provided information. You are still early on healing process. It is normal to be swollen, and you can expect to see your final results after 6 months. Please, be patient, but if the situation doesn't improve over time, I suggest you to follow up close with your plastic surgeon.Hope this is helpful. Good luck :)
You are still recovering from surgery and are not at your final result yet. I recommend discussing your concerns with your surgeon as he/she is most familiar with your surgical plan and how you've been progressing through recovery.
Hi and thank you so much for your question! I like to discuss with my patient's that swelling will stay within the breast tissue for 2-3 months, which can cause distortion of the tissues. I would suggest discussing your concerns with your Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, but also would encourage patience, even though I know it is difficult! Congratulations on your mastopexy and best of luck to you.Sincerely,Dr. Rachel Streu
Thank you so much for your question. It is somewhat challenging to answer your question without the pre operative photos. As I tell my patients sometimes, your breasts are sisters; I am going to try and make them into twins but at the end of the day they may still be sisters. We strive for perfection but sometimes its a challenge to get thereThat being said, the swelling and settling of tissue after mastopexy may take 3-6months to finalize after a breast surgery. So it is difficult to make any last conclusions at this time. This is why most surgeons will wait at least 3 months prior to any revisions. I would say if you have any concerns please speak with your surgeon but likely it may just require patience at this time.
Bras were invented to help support breast tissue and decrease drooping, so please wear your bra. No, bra, if properly fitted, will cause drooping. They do not damage ligaments in the breasts. Some breasts are so large and heavy that no bra will be enough to support all that weight. You...
Call your surgeon immediately and ask to be seen now. Your implant is eroding through your breast skin and will get infected if not treated quickly. It may need to be removed.
Call your surgeon immediately and ask to be seen now. Your implant is exposed and is at high risk for infection. Please keep that area clean and covered.
