Dear antonice18,I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a breast lift surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively. At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides you will be able to see the final result of your surgery.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
You are early on in your recovery after surgery. Please allow a couple of months before assessing your results.
Hello Antonice,Great question. Thank you for your pictures. You are still early in your recovery process. There is swelling still present. Keep following your surgeon's post op instructions. Good luck with your recovery.
Thank you for your question. You are very early in the healing process, everything looks good so far. The steri-strips can cause some distortion to the skin and there is swelling present. Give yourself more time to heal.
Many thanks for posting your question. From what I can see from the photos, it appears that you have an excellent early result and are doing very well, only 5-days after surgery. The tapes are somewhat distorting the skin - which is completely normal and temporary - whilst they do their job of supporting your scars.I hope this reassures you and you continue under the care of your plastic surgeon as planned.
Yes, rippling can be normal at this point in time. Please discuss any concerns you have with your surgeon.
Hello, and thank you for your question. (Keep in mind that an in-person consultation is necessary for the best advice.) It has been less than 1 week since your surgery. You are still swollen. Your skin hasn't contracted. In short, you are still healing. Be patient, and follow up with your plastic surgeon. Best of luck!Matthew A. DelMauro, M.D.
Hello Antonice, thank you for your question. As previously said, the steri-strips may make your skin appear warped or distorted but you are still very early into the healing process. Please allow time to heal and follow up closely with your plastic surgeon for post op care and any concerns. Best wishes.Dr. Bahram Ghaderi

At this point please keep in contact with your surgeon and follow their care instructions closely. Although there may be no infection, it’s crucial to keep the area clean to prevent one from happening.
Dear Rottymama19, this type of wound is not uncommon after breast lift. It is usually caused by poor blood flow. I would suggest you to consult your plastic surgeon, follow your surgeon's instructions and keep your wound clean and covered. It can take few weeks or months for wound to fully...
Hello Debora,Great question. Thank you for your pictures. Sorry for your post op difficulties. I will suggest following your surgeon's post op instructions. Good luck with your recovery.
Dear samira678, I suggest my patients to use Biocorneum gel after week 6 in order to reduce scars. But every plastic surgeon has his own postoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon. Daniel Barrett,...
