I had a revision done in march. It started with a bruise on the side of my left nipple, then it opened up. It's now a big black hole and it keeps getting bigger. I have no feeling or erection. It looks like sand paper and it feels like a rough rubber. Will I lose my nipple?
Answer: Breasts Call your surgeon immediately and ask to be seen now. Your implant is exposed and is at high risk for infection. Please keep that area clean and covered.

Answer: Black rubbery hole next to my nipple... From the photos you provided, it unfortunately appears that your implant may be exposed. If this is the case, then it will need to be removed for at least 3-4 months after which it can then be replaced. I would reach out to your Plastic Surgeon ASAP and let him/her know about this and proceed accordingly.I hope this information helps!Warmest regards,-Gregory A Buford MD FACS PCEOBoard Certified Plastic Surgeon and Author

Answer: Incision healing Dear Generous6754, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. Based on your photos, it looks like you have a big and deep wound. You didn't mention do you have implants. If your implant is exposed, then it should be removed. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment. Only after thorough examination you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: Healing delay after breast lift Hi and welcome to our forum! From your photos, it appears that you may have developed an inflammatory lesion (suture extrusion or granuloma?), infection, or bleed which has progressed to an area of tissue necrosis. Your latest photo appears to demonstrate surrounding redness, suggesting the possibility of infection. I recommend you undergo reevaluation by your plastic surgeon as soon as feasible. You won't lose your nipple, but delay may lead to increased scarring. Best wishes...
