Dear Dreams525,this type of wound is not uncommon after breast lift. It is usually caused by poor blood flow and increased tension. I would suggest you to consult your plastic surgeon, follow your surgeon's instructions and keep your wound clean and covered. It can take few weeks or months for wound to fully heal. Thank you for your question. This area tends to be the weakest part of a breast lift. It's where all the tension is. Normally this area heals very well. I would suggest following up with your surgeon and following their recommendation on how to care for it. Best of luck to you.
Thank you for your question. The area where all the scars meet in a breast lift is a common place for wound breakdown. This typically heals with local wound care. I recommend you follow up with your surgeon so he may evaluate you in person. Best of luck.
Call your surgeon immediately and ask to be seen now. Your implant is eroding through your breast skin and will get infected if not treated quickly. It may need to be removed.
Hello, and thank you for your question. (Keep in mind that an in-person consultation is necessary for the best advice.) I'm sorry that you're having trouble after your surgery. Wound healing complications are not uncommon after breast lift/reduction surgery. Local wound care is the treatment. Be patient, and follow up closely with your plastic surgeon. Best of luck!Matthew A. DelMauro, M.D.
Call your surgeon immediately and ask to be seen now. Your implant is exposed and is at high risk for infection. Please keep that area clean and covered.
Although this may not be an issue, it would be a good idea to see your surgeon for an assessment just to be safe.
If it has been only 2 and a half months, then you may regain sensation. If it has been 2 and a half years, then no, you will stay numb.
