Best approach to improve chin? (Photo)

I'm a 41 year old woman with a BMI of about 28 -- I'm overweight, but have have always had a double chin and poorly-defined jaw area, regardless of weight. There are so many approaches to chin procedures, non-surgical and surgical alike. I'd like some imput on what approach might best suit me.

"For a double chin, InMode FaceTite with VASERlipo would give you the best result.

With significant neck sagging you would need a facelift / neck lift with muscle tightening (platysmaplasty). At the same time, I would recommend lasers (Fraxel, CO2, Halo, or Erbium) and microneedling RF (Fractora, Morpheus8, PiXel8, Intensif) to improve the crepey skin and wrinkles. Overall, the neck can be treated with a combination approach:

1. Microneedling and laser treatments for texture
2. Botox, Dysport, Xeomin or Jeuveau to help platysmal bands

You appear to be a good candidate for a genioplasty. This would bring your chin forward and slightly down, creating more facial balance and the projection you are looking for. It will also add length and definition to your jawline, while tightening the skin as well. The main reason why the contour of the neck and jawline can lack definition whether the weight is low or higher tends to be the volume deep to the platysma muscles which has genetic origins. This can be the case whether the mandible is small or whether the lower jaw is well-developed like in your case.

A deep plane neck lift procedure can address this problem a combination of volume reduction superficial layer and deep to the platysma muscles involving the fatty tissue, digastric muscles and lower part of the submandibular glands. This is combined with tightening of the skin to improve the contour of the jawline and sometimes fat reduction in the jowl region.

There are many non invasive treatments to help with loose neck skin. Here are the options available.
1.	Neck liposuction

In your case the best option will be Lower face and neck lift with liposuction

Lower facelift and necklift
It is important to understand that the incisions used for achieving a good result in a necklift also give a nice lift to the lower face and jowls. The purpose of a necklift is to pull the extra skin side ways behind the ears and remove it. It is also sometimes combined with Neck Liposuction and Platysmaplasty.  
The incision starts in the hair tuft in front of the ear and then curves in front of the ear hidden in natural curves of the ear, then next to the earlobe it goes behind the ear in the hidden groove and finally is taken over to the hairline of the neck.
The skin is then lifted to expose the underlying platysma muscle. It is then pulled back and tethered to the bone behind the ear. At this point the jowl area is also pulled back with stitches under the skin in deeper tissues. These maneuvers lead to excess skin on the sides which is then trimmed and stitched back in place.

It's very important to understand that there are two compartments of fat located in the neck, the compartment above the platysma muscle, and the compartment below the platysma muscle. Liposuction can only accomplish removal of the fat compartment above the muscle which would be very ineffective for you. From your photographs, most of the fat you have in your neck is going to be genetic and is located below your platysma muscle. A neck lift procedure can accomplish removal of both compartments of fat which also includes a platysma-plasty to significantly improve your jawline. This procedure is performed with three small access incisions underneath chin and behind the ears. At age 41, no skin removal should be required. You also appear to have a a recessive chin profile, and if that's the case then consider placement of a small chin implant to augment your mandible forward which helps with better structural support for the soft tissues in the neck. Noninvasive treatments Will simply will be very ineffective for you

You’re not alone and being confused about both quality assessments and treatment options for the lower 1/3 of the face.
Most people look to soft tissue treatments and soft tissue issues as being the problem.
In reality your problem is primarily based on bone structure and this is why the problem has always persisted.
Your mandible is small in relationship to your max seller. At the same time you have a projecting chin. That means that the body of the mandible is small and Lacs projection. Most likely you have a dental occlusion overbite. That means that the body of the mandible is small and Lacs projection. Most likely you have a dental occlusion overbite. At the same time you’re mentalis or the tip of your mandible or chin project forward making it look like your mandible it’s actually OK size.
A Judvan cement is most likely your best option but a soft tissue approach could work as well. For soft tissue a facelift (neck lift) is probably your best operation.
A facelift and neck lift is really the same thing. A facelift treats the lower 1/3 of the face only.
I suggest having a few consultations with local oral surgeons as well as having a few in person consultations for local board-certified plastic surgeons.
Expect to hear different explanations from each of the specialties since oral surgeons 10 to see things from a facial skeleton perspective and plastic surgeons are more soft tissue oriented.
With advancing age procedures like liposuction become less of an option.
Re-suspending your platysma and redefining your jawline and elimination of jowls with a quality facelift is probably your best option. You could also consider formal jaw surgery once evaluated.
