What is the recovery like for chin lipo and implant? I’m supposed to take my kids to see a show 2 days after. Will I be ok to walk around and go see a show?
Answer: Recovery after chin liposuction The recovery after chin liposuction, with or without an implant, should be rapid. I can't imagine any reason why you couldn't go see a show a few days later. However, you will likely be bruised, swollen, and be wearing a compression wrap. So, you may feel fine, but you may not look great. It is your decision whether that is ok with you, or you would feel more comfortable laying low for 7-10 days until swelling goes down and you look more normal.

Answer: Recovery after chin implant with liposuction Most people are able to walk around after surgery to place and chin implant and liposuction under the chin. Depending on the type of anesthesia used, you may not feel up to walking around until the day after surgery. I would think that you would be able to walk around without a problem 2 days after the procedure, although it is possible that you would have some bruising and/or swelling.

Answer: Postoperative protocol Dear Adventurous425, I understand your concern. It is best that you consult your plastic surgeon regarding post operative care and management (i.e including massage techniques and timing) specific to your case. Your surgeon knows your condition well and has preferences on when and what to use for faster healing and recovery. Post operative care and management depends on the type of surgery performed and the technique used during surgery among other factors. It is best, however, that you follow your plastic surgeon's advice on post operative care management for a smooth and faster healing and recovery. Answer: Walking after chin implant Unless you’re also having bunion surgery I see no reason why you shouldn’t be able to walk after a chin implant with Liposuction. The areas may be tender and you may be sore. Confirm what type of pain medication you are being prescribed. People should not drive cars while taking narcotic pain medication if used. Other than being overall sore and feeling tender especially with movement the recovery should not be all that bad. Typically after a few days things improve on a daily basis. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
