When will I be able to go back to work (as long as I don’t mind what I look like) after this procedure?
Answer: Post operative protocol Dear Adventurous425, I understand your concern. It is best that you consult your plastic surgeon regarding post operative care and management (i.e including massage techniques and timing) specific to your case. Your surgeon knows your condition well and has preferences on when and what to use for faster healing and recovery. Post operative care and management depends on the type of surgery performed and the technique used during surgery among other factors. It is best, however, that you follow your plastic surgeon's advice on post operative care management for a smooth and faster healing and recovery. Answer: Recovery after chin liposuction If you don’t mind wearing a compression garment and possibly showing a little bit of bruising and being a little sore at work you could probably go back to work the next day. I suggest reviewing this with your provider. We typically discuss returning back to work during consultations. Delivering consistent quality liposuction results is more difficult than most people believe. I recommend patients have multiple in person consultations at which time patients should vet their providers thoroughly. In particular ask providers to show you enough before and after pictures to get a very clear understanding of what other patients with similar facial characteristics to your own results look like. For reference and experience surgeon should have no difficulty showing you at least 50 that’s a before and after pictures of commonly performed procedures. Seeing the best results of a providers career and being shown a handful of quality pictures is insufficient to get a clear understanding of what the average results look like. Avoid virtual consultations and avoid traveling long distances for elective surgical procedures. It’s always a good idea to have multiple consultations before committing to surgery.
