Is liposuction enough for my stomach or would I need a tummy tuck too? (photos)

You appear to be a good candidate for a full abdominoplasty. Lipo alone will not deal with your loose skin and will likely make it worse.  The surgery is very rewarding and worth the cost and recovery. 

Hi there, you look to be a great candidate for a tummy tuck procedure.  Liposuction will reduce you a little bit but you will still have the extra skin.  A tummy tuck will remove the extra skin, tighten the abdominal wall muscles and get you as flat as we possibly can.  I would recommend an in office consultation with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon to be evaluated.  Best of luck to you. 

Thank you for your question.Regarding your photos ,I would recommend tummy tuck combined with liposuction.Fat deposits can be removed with liposuction and tummy tuck provides excess skin removal and tightened.

After reviewing your photo, I would recommend a full tummy tuck combined with liposuction. A full tummy tuck corrects the aftermath of pregnancy:
1.  The separation of the abdominal muscles (diastasis recti) is repaired to reduce the bulge
2.  The loose skin is tightened
3.  Fat deposits can be reduced with liposuction
Liposuction alone would not correct the bulge due to the muscle separation or the loose skin and would, in all likelihood, lead to a disappointing result for you.  A tummy tuck combine with liposuction would give the best result in terms of flattening and tightening the tummy, but has the disadvantage of scarring and a longer recovery.  
I would recommend a consultation with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon.

Based on the photos you have shared, you seem to be a candidate for liposuction and a tummy tuck, as liposuction alone will not address the loose skin or diastasis recti you appear to have. Liposuction alone cannot address either of these concerns. My patients are extremely happy with their tummy tuck results and my meticulous attention to detail when it comes to scarring, which is hidden very cautiously in your underwear/bikini line. Please consult with a board certified plastic surgeon regarding this matter before you decide to move forward with liposuction alone. 

If you only get liposuction you will have less fat, but you will have loose skin that you won't be happy with. A full tummy tuck with muscle tightening will give you the best result. Be sure to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. Good luck!

Thanks for your inquiry and excellent pictures,  I do not think you would be happy with liposuction alone.  On the other hand,  you could have an extremely good result with a tummy tuck, seek the opinion of a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss.  

An exam would be necessary to make that determination.  Best to be somewhat near your goal weight prior to having the liposuction.  Liposuction of the flanks and abdomen would improve the waist to hip ratio but would not result in a flat abdomen. A short scar tummy tuck would remove loose skin, tighten the muscles, and remove the stretchmarks below the navel with a scar not much longer than that of a mini-TT.  Schedule an in-office consultation to discuss your goals and options with a board certified PS who performs hundreds of abdominal surgeries annually with favorable patient feedback and results. 

Thanks for the question, I prefer to use all the modern lipo technology to give the best result possible. Using vaser to melt the fat and plasma to tighten the skin gives a great result. It won't tighten the muscles are get you as flat as a tummy tuck but it has minimal downtime and no scar. For many they prefer this option over the long scar, drains, downtime, pain associated with a tummy tuck

you are a better candidate for a
tummy tuck with liposuction.  Liposuction alone will not work well for you.  This can be
done through a low incision, all completely below the bikini
line.  The belly button can be designed
to look natural and have no scars on the exterior.   Your muscles can also be plicated resulting
in a flat abdomen.  Make sure you
specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have
had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results.

Your question is a common one for patients who do not want the downtime and recovery of surgery. Based on your photos, you would be a good candidate for a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty). You have quite a bit of skin tissue which would remain if you chose only to have liposuction. In addition, if you have separation of your stomach muscles, then a tummy tuck is the only way to repair the muscles so that you end up with a flatter stomach. When you choose a board-certified plastic surgeon for your consultation and surgery, your risks for any issues after surgery are minimal.
