Hi, I passed 3 miradry treatments ,my last treatment was six months ago the result was amazing.now i sweat like before my 3 treatment and i fell i need to do one more treatment . is there a cases of 4 treatments? is it dangerous to do 4 treatments? Thanks for reply.
Answer: How many treatments for MiraDry is normal? Thank you for your question. The reason we have patients wait at least 12 weeks from treatment is to allow the area to fully heal and all swelling to subside. We do a starch iodine test and take photos prior to the 1st treatment to establish a baseline, and then we repeat this procedure in 12 weeks to see the difference. It is not common to need a 2nd treatment in our practice, but it is certainly not unheard of. I would discuss with your practitioner to make sure you were treated at the highest level (5) and that an appropriately sized template was used to treat the entire area. If patients do require a 2nd treatment, we offer this at 50% off. That being said, after 3 treatments it is not beneficial to have a 4th treatment in my opinion unless you were not treated at the highest level at your first 3 treatments which would be uncommon. Best of luck!

Answer: MiraDry 4th treatment Thank you for your question and for sharing your story. I would not undergo a 4th treatment until your are thoroughly evaluated to determine which parts of the armpits continue to produce sweat (and odor). We have performed many miraDry procedures, and I have only had to operate on two patients. One had a very resistant spot on both armpits that produced a high volume of sweat. The other was for persistent (albeit reduced) odor production. Surgically, I shave the undersurface of the armpit skin and hence physically remove the majority of the sweat and odor glands. I would recommend you visit with someone who can provide you with an alternative option for your persistent sweat/odor production.

Answer: More than three treatments... It would be very unusual to need 3 treatments, but then again, you're in the middle east. I suggest instead that you reach out to your doctor and have an iodine-starch test. If your sweat glands in the underarm area are all gone, then another treatment won't help you. You may be sweating from other parts of the body which are not treated with MiraDry.Best wishes, Dr. ALDO

Answer: Multiple miraDry treatments If is unusual to need 4 miraDry treatment. You should probably have your provider perform a starch iodine test to determine where your sweat glands are still active and how much sweating is still present. Make sure your treatment is on level 5.
