Rhinoplasty... am I a candidate? (Photo)

Thank you for your question. You are an excellent candidate for rhinoplasty. I think it is one of the most beautifying surgeries that we do as plastic surgeons. A large portion of my practice is dedicated to rhinoplasty surgery. It is important to only see plastic surgeons with extensive experience in rhinoplasty, ie perform at least 6 per month and have performed hundreds of cases. Also, critically evaluate on-line galleries to see if their art form resonates with yours. Rhinoplasty is definitely a grey haired plastic surgeon's sport. Addressing a crooked or deviated nose (especially if you have a history of nasal trauma) is actually one of the most common reasons people seek out and undergo a rhinoplasty. An open septorhinoplasty can best address both your aesthetic concerns and any functional issues with your nose. I would be able to address your septum, improve your breathing, straighten your nose, and also adjust the size, shape, and definition of your nose!

This truly a surgery of millimeters- and whether you're looking for a minor adjustment or a major transformation, it requires exceptional surgical skill to achieve functional and natural-looking results! Because your nose is the DEFINING feature of your face- I would only recommend seeing a surgeon who specializes in rhinoplasty procedures, and who has significant training and experience performing these surgeries. From the photo, it appears that you would be a great candidate for rhinoplasty. Ideally you would need an exam from all angles to tell exactly what has to be done. But an experienced rhinoplasty surgeon should be able to make a nice improvement while straightening your septum too.

A septoplasty would be needed to fix your deviated septum and the rhinoplasty to fix any aesthetics your don't like. These procedures are commonly done together for optimal results and should improve your overall breathing as well. You could fix the asymmetry and straighten your nose, while also fixing the asymmetry in your top lip. Hi , Rhinoplasty can enhance nasal profile. It is better for you to consult with a facial plastic surgeon who can examine you and discuss the surgical procedure and the post op recovery
process.

I believe that you are a candidate for surgery. This is best determined with a history/physical. I would go see a board-certified plastic surgeon (with plastic surgery residency and aesthetic fellowship training) for a 3D preoperative consultation. This way the rhinoplasty can be simulated prior to the surgery to provide the patient a proper visual of the potential outcome.

It appears your nose is deviated so you would be a candidate for a rhinoplasty. This would correct the septum and the angulation of your nose.

In the one photo you submitted I don’t see much wrong with your nose. But you should only get a rhinoplasty if you are unhappy with your nose. What other people think is irrelevant
