I also get hey fever and allergies quite a bit due to my sinuses, (hence the need for surgery), so I don't know if that may be a factor as to why I have them at the level they are now, despite my use of the best eye creams and syrums, etc. I was going to get an IPL laser treatment before I get my rhinoplasty anyway to help clear those veins which I can just notice and maybe some darkness, but I don't know if it will do anything.
Answer: Nasal Surgery & Dark Circles Immediately after Rhinoplasty surgery, it is not uncommon to get some bruising around the eyes due to the manipulation of the tissue in that area. This facilitates the healing process and will eventually go away with time, leaving you with your original under eye circles. I often inject Restylane underneath the eyes (Tear Trough Treatment) to reduce the appearance of dark circles and hollowness under the eyes. Many of my patients have been very happy with the results, which last approximately 12-18 month. I hope this helps. Good Luck!

Answer: Septo-rhinoplasty and dark circles Performing a septo-rhinoplasty will not have an effect on dark circles. Expect approximately 2 weeks of some degree of visible bruising and swelling after the procedure. The cast stays on the bridge of the nose for 1 week. The dark circles will return after the bruising and swelling has subsided. For many examples and more information, please see the link and the video below to our rhinoplasty photo gallery

Answer: Rhinoplasty can make dark under eye skin darker Rhinoplasty notoriously causes dark bruising of the lower eyelids and skin below the eyelids. Normally the bruising resolved in 3-4 weeks. In some patients with naturally very dark skin who have significantly dark lower eyelid skin, if excessive and prolonged bruising occurs after surgery, hemosiderin deposits can be permanent. This is unusual. However please discuss this possibility with your surgeon. From your photograph you do not have dark skin and I would not expect that you would have this problem, but you need to discuss this with your surgeon.

Answer: Dark Circles Hi,So sorry to hear that you suffer with allergies and sinus issues. I think it is important that you visit with your primary care physician to discuss possible seasonal allergies. He or she can recommend OTC and prescription medications that will help you with your symptoms which may then lessen your dark circles. Lets talk for a second about dark circles- they can be caused by a number of things including sinus swelling from allergies. Sometimes, if it is a pigmentation issue, circles respond well to a topical bleaching cream. I do not see IPL laser working for your circles and advise you to get a second opinion. Sometimes nose surgery can make circles a lot worse- so please be informed and discuss your concerns with a cosmetic surgeon.Best of Luck!
