I was born with cliff lip and had a few corrective surgeries when i was an infant. I am now 34 years old. I have one nostril larger then the other. Is this something that my medical insurance would cover?

Answer: Cleft lip rhinoplasty Thank you for your question. Most of my cleft lip patients will undergo a rhinoplasty during their teen years. This typically is the last operation they will require. It has been my experience that most insurance plans will cover this. Please make sure your plastic surgeon is board certified and has an expertise in rhinoplasty. Your surgeon's office staff should be able to help you obtain insurance authorization. Best wishes.
