Thank you for your question and photos. Aside from having better lighting and a professional photographer to catch the best angles, the two models you have shown are likely very lean. I certainly cannot know your complete body habitus from the photos you posted, but you appear to be carrying more weight in your face than either of the model photos. While you could certainly augment your mandibular angles, have a larger chin implant placed, and your buccal fat pockets reduced, I would suggest hitting the gym. Both of those models probably have body fat percentages hovering around 5-7%. This allows the angles of the face (cheek bones, jaw line) to be much more prominent. I would suggest doing this prior to entertaining any surgery. All the best!
Thanks for your question along with your photos and amusing cartoon figures. Based on the photos of what you are hoping to achieve, it appears that you desire stronger lateral and/ or posterior augmentation of your jawbone or mandible. Fortunately, you may be a candidate for either the Taylor Lateral Mandibular Angle implant or Taylor Posterior Mandibular Angle Implant from Implantech, Inc. Please research these implants and consult with an experienced, reputable surgeon for a complete exam and consultation. Hope this answer gives you some direction for your search.
Dear Sammy2811, It appears that you want a more chiseled look to masculinize your features. I would suggest buccal fat pad removal as shown in a similar patient in the link I sent below. I do not think a larger chin implant would necessarily achieve the look you desire however consultation and examination would further determine your goals and probable results. Best regards, Michael V. Elam, M.D.
Hi, I have performed many facial shaping procedures including chin augmentations, using a chinimplant, over the past 30 years. From the photos, your chin is still a bit weakcreating an imbalance that makes the nose appear larger, the lower face shortand the mid face appear top heavy. A larger size chinimplant will add projection to the chin creating harmony and balance to thelower face. I have found placing a silastic chin implant through a small, curved, incisions under the chin to be very safe, quick, highly effective andfar less invasive than a sliding genioplasty that requires bone cuts withplacement of screws and metal plates. Following the beauty principles outlined in my book on face andbody beauty, male faces look ruggedly handsome when there is angularity in thecheeks, chin and mandibular angles. In addition to chin augmentation, cheek augmentation with either a dermal filler or cheek implants (for apermanent enhancement) will add angularity to the cheeks. Mandibularangle augmentation with a dermal filler (jaw implants IMHO have too manyunwanted side effects) will add volume, angularity and flare to the jaw line.Hopethis helps.
Chin implants can be inserted, repositioned, or removed through a local anesthesia. This is through a very tiny incision and a minimally invasive removal process. It is very predictably successful. You have to plan the procedure properly and select the correct size, shape, and position of the...
You are focusing on your chin and jowls and missing the fact that jowls and chin are just lower one third of your face. Just addressing this will draw it into disharmony with rest of your face. This is because you also have sagging in face, eyelids and forehead. You should plan to have total...
Hi labner, this is a difficult question to answer. The short answer is that I would probably try the med poor implants again once your body has had a chance to heal up fully. However, I would not be so quick to rule out silicone implants. I obviously do not know the full story behind your pr...
