I had a 35 year old chin implant replaced. The wings became detached on tbe sides and I could see it. The dr replaced it with a size small implant but it looks huge! I have a very slim face, 61 y/o. It is pointy and long. Wondering why it looks huge and what to do. ( lips are larger in after picfures from lip lift)
I am super insecure about my jawline and chin area. From the side, there are lines around my mouth that I believe are called marionette lines and my chin looks a bit recessed. From the front, the skin around my chin indents and then widens again, giving me the appearance of really chubby cheeks, which looks really off because the rest of my face is pretty defined. I am only 21 and around 108 pounds. I have tried natural things like dieting and exercise but you cant exactly target a specific area of fat. Besides both my mom and sister have the same features on their face, and they are both skinny. From what Ive researched I think I would be okay with just a chin implant and some perioral liposuction. But I wanted to get a doctors opinion. I do also want to mention that I want a permanent solution so no fillers. And I wanted to ask if a chin implant can be custom made so that it adds volume to that indented area I mentioned.
Im hoping to improve my lower face. The skin/fat under my chin is likely due to excess weight but its also hereditary and something I would like to address at some point. Im also wondering about my chin and nose and if augmenting those would give a more balanced profile. I dont want to necessarily add width or length to my chin, but it seems weak and the area around my mouth has strange indents(better seen from front photo). Thanks for any help!
I'm a 30-year-old Southeast Asian male. I got a chin implant back in 2019 to address a weak chin and some imbalance in my facial profile. While it helped at first, I noticed the results havent held up over time. I still have visible jowls, and my lower face remains quite recessed compared to the rest of my features. Recently, my orthodontist did a 3D scan and mentioned that the implant I have is the smallest hes ever seen in his career - which makes me wonder if it was ever really adequate for my facial structure in the first place. Im now exploring whether jaw surgery is my only option, or if there are other procedures that could improve the balance and projection of my lower face, like a bigger chin implant. Are there any treatments that might realistically help in my case? Or is jaw surgery the only long-term solution for skeletal issues like this?
My jawline is ok up until my chin - which is either too short or has too much fat underneath. Whenever I have a picture taken from the side (and Im not posing like in the last picture), especially from a lower angle, my jawline sags downward. I was wondering if chin lipo or chin implant/genioplasty would be a better fix for my issue. Any advice would be much appreciated! I also have badddd TMJ if thats relevant. Ive considered masseter Botox but heard it could give me jowls - could that help too?
Hi! Ive had chin filler 2x over the past 4 years but now I think Im ready to take the leap and get a chin implant. Do you think Id benefit from both chin implant and chin lipo? I have some fat under the chin but I cant tell if its tissue. I also currently weight 118 lbs, 55 so I cant lose any more weight. Thanks in advance for the advice
hi, i want to do something about my weak/double chin (which is present even at and below my ideal weight). i hear that the main solution when a small chin is contributing to the double chin is to get a chin implant. however my nose is quite small so im not sure if that would unbalance my face (im happy with my nose). based on my pictures, would a chin implant be too much and/or would fat removal be enough? (im really hoping fat removal would be enough as it seems like it would be weird having a foreign object in my face). or is there anything i havent thought of? (as long as it doesnt require altering anything outside the chin/lips area as i like the rest of my face)
