Can chin implants shift from eating solid/chewy foods and or licking your teeth?

Once the implant is in its appropriate location, normal movements of the tongue, jaw and lips will not dislodge an well positioned implant. In fact, I have patients who practice martial arts and their implant stays where we placed it. 

Even this early after surgery it is unlikely. However, some chin asymmetry may have been hidden due to early postoperative swelling; now, when swelling is subsiding one can see asymmetry and think of implant displacement. You should discuss this issue with your surgeon. Good luck.

 It is very possible in my opinion to have displacement of her chin implant 1 to 2 weeks after surgery. This sometimes can occur with normal activity. I would advise you strong way to revisit your plastic surgeon's office for reevaluation.

If the implant is placed in an exact pocket it quickly attaches to the underlying bone and will move with the mandible when chewing. I also secure the implant to the lining of the mandible. Screw fixing is possible but I've not done that over the past 35+ years.
