Voluma is an excellent choice for midface volume enhancement. It is not ideal for other areas of the face until longterm studies have been performed. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Los Angeles
Voluma is one of the most robust fillers we have, providing smooth volume and a stronger lift than most or all of the other hyaluronic acid fillers. Its indicated for use in the cheeks, but can be used off label wherever the doc and patient feel comfortable. So yes it can be used in the marionette lines. However the fine, superficial lines near the corner of the mouth are not well treated with voluma. Softer fillers such as the juvederm line, or restylane products are more efficient here. And while they may not last as long as voluma, they are still very effective.
Voluma can work wonders for anywhere there is loss of volume or lift/contour. It is currently approved for the midface but works well in other areas if injected properly. I suggest a filler expert who uses microcannulas, as this can limit complications. Best, Dr. Emer.
Voluma is FDA approved for volumization of the cheeks. It is also used "off-label" in the jawline area as well as the chin and nose by some. Technically, there is no rule that says you can't use it for treating the downturned corners of the mouth (marionette lines). But, because Voluma is a bulky filler, using it around the mouth can cause lumps and bumps. I do not use it around the mouth. I think you can achieve better results with Juvederm or Juvederm Ultra Plus which can last for up to 1 year. Hope this helps answer your question.
Voluma is FDA approved for use in the mid-face (cheeks). It is a very "thick" filler made of hyaluronic acid. It is best used when placed right along the bones and can really build up cheeks. It is also great along the jawline. If you only have issues with the corners of your mouth, or a downturned smile, one of the other fillers like Restylane or Juvederm Ultra would be better choices. Belotero and Restylane Silk are great for fine lines along the lip line.
Yes, Juvederm Voluma® can be used in the area you describe. However, many expert Aesthetic Dermatologists prefer Juvederm UP XC® in this area, because it provides a long-lasting result in this area without the risk of excess bulk, which may sag in the future.
Yes, Voluma can be used. It is not approved for this so it is considered an off label treatment,as my colleagues here indicate.
The use of Voluma has been approved by the FDA in the USA only for the mid face/cheek region. If used in other areas it is considered Off label. It can be used in other areas as an off label product. If you do have that done for lifting the corners of your lips I would suggest seeing a board certified doctor well experienced in those procedures.Good luck !!!!
Voluma is great for use in the mid portion of the face. Any other location is off label. It can last up to two years so use in marionette should be done with caution.
Voluma is FDA approved for the midface/cheek regions. That being said, many physicians use it "off-label" in other areas of the face. Due to its thick nature, I have found that other fillers (namely Juvederm) to be better than Voluma when filling the marionette lines.
Hi @Miss Alison. Typically, it takes two weeks for the fillers to settle in. I recommend seeking treatments from expert injectors who have the skill and experience to precisely inject fillers into treatment areas and avoid risks and complications. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!
The short answer is no. Swelling associated with your treatment may dissipate within a few days, but the Voluma product will remain. To get the desired result you want, I recommend considering the addition of 1-3 syringes. Best route is to discuss with your doctor!Best of luck!
Fillers usually migrate when they are in areas that move often. It is rare for this to happen wtih approprite technique and when used in the right location. I don't restrict my patients immediately after injection except for pressure for 24 hours. I suggest seeing a cosmetic...
Voluma is FDA-approved for the enhancement of the mid-face. With that said, off-label a little bit in the NLFs can be appropriate when injected in the right plane. I would not advise the use of Voluma in the lips. There are great fillers available for that indication.
Dear petewillUsing filler to increase volume in areas that benefit from a fuller appearance can work miracles to rejuvenate ones face. Having said that, your areas of interest seem to be the surface of your skin. That's usually done through chemical peels, lasers or other forms of skin care(...
Voluma is one of my favorite products for filling sagging cheeks. It looks very natural and can last for up to 18 months, as it helps to stimulate new collagen production. The poor outcomes that you describe are not due to the product itself, but to injector error. For example, discoloration is...
