Incredible!. DR J has the best astthetic eye for proportion and naturalness. She put filler under my mouth to turn up my smile And stop looking mad. I came in for kybella and for vanquish fat melting laser and Dr. Jegasothy was fantastic. She took her time and consulted with me and presented all my options. I had a great experience and felt very comfortable. Very knowledgeable and personable. I will be coming back.

Dr. J is amazing! This field is tricky, because we want to look natural and yet slow down the negative aspects of aging. Dr. J navigates this terrain like nobody else can. She has a real eye for faces, and never does too much or leaves you feeling unnatural. I trust her completely and, in fact, I simply let her do anything she feels I need, which is always natural. I've been here for years and feel like the best version of myself with her.

Went to see Dr Jegasothy and she did a excellent job in augmenting my cheeks to give me a little lift and help from my sagging skin. I look 10 years younger, and have all my friends telling me that I looked refreshed. Upon entering her office in the Penthouse, the staff takes you to a exam room where you can look through a Black binder to learn about all the latest procedures prior to meeting with the Doctor.
When the doctor comes in, she takes the time to explain your options about cosmetic treatment so you can look your best. I feel Dr Jegasothy really cares versus others that treat you like a number!

I'm one of those people who is skeptical about everybody's "guy" when it comes to my face. I used to see A doctor I LOVED in Weston, and was very cynical after bad experiences with other "med spas" and quacks. I was so iffy about seeing a new person, but two ladies I work with told me about Dr. J and I was absolutely thrilled with the quality of her work! I always feel like half the medspa reviews are fake. She is NO medspa (and boy will she make sure you know) but her education and credentials are impressive. Harvard AND Yale?? A++ for me! I've had botox, voluma and mole removal done at her office (and seen much of her other work on my friends) and I can honestly say she is the only person I can confidently recommend!! You get what you pay for and having the peace of mind knowing that she is going to give you an honest opinion and not treat you like a guinea pig is priceless! The voluma gave me back the volume I lost in my cheeks. She makes it look so natural - not overdone! When I like the weight of my body, my face looks too thin. When I like the way my face looks, I feel chunky. She helped me get the best of both worlds, and continues to give me good advice and treatments!

Day 2
Vertical upper-lip lines are a family curse: I don't smoke, but I grew up in a smoking household with prune-lipped mother and grandmother. I'm probably hyper-sensitive to those vertical lip-lines, having been paranoid about them since I was twelve.

Over the years I've been getting botox to minimize their deepening and spreading. This year, restylane silk became available (long used in Canada and Europe) for the thin skin above the lip.

Procedure: topical lidocaine/numbing cream is spread on the upper lip, it sits for ten minutes, then the doc begins. 1cc of Rest. Silk comes in a long thin needle syringe, and despite the topical numbing, it hurts a bit. Quite a few pricks with the needle. Takes about 10 minutes total.

Swelling: significant. This is not a lunchtime procedure. You can see the immediate results of a smooth upper lip for about the first 20 minutes, and then the swelling begins. It's really bad: the lip and upper-lip inflate to beyond Kim Kardashin ridiculous.

I had my procedure on a Friday afternoon. Friday night I was googling Resty Silk and swelling: Because it was DUCK LIP CITY and looked RIDICULOUS/FRIGHTENING. I didn't have *any*injected in my actual top lip, only above the lip, but the whole thing swelled up.

I put arnica gel, took an anti-histamine, and iced it on and off for a few hours. Slept slightly elevated.

I'll continue to post as the days go by. I expect to return to work 48 hours after this procedure, and I'm praying the swelling goes down by then.

*Resty Silk is the sort of product that draws water to itself, hydrophilic, and thus the tissue swells--I would say, engorges. I am concerned that some have written that they don't think that, for them, the swelling and fullness ever went down. yikes. I hold out hope, and if it's a problem, I'll head back to the Dr. for possible dissolution of some of the product.

The shape and thickness of my upper lip has definitely changed: it's protruding, it's bigger, thicker, something I was not at all interested in, as it's now much fuller than my bottom lip. I hope that this is residual swelling. the smoker's lines are flat and smooth, which was the aim, now to see if the upper lip regains it's previous shape and proportion to my bottom lip. I can go out in public today, and not look like a Kardashian, but, I don't love the change to the shape and thickness of my top lip. I'll wait a few weeks to see if I need some of this dissolved.

Day 4-ish: Monday, the first day back to work after Friday's upper lip resty silk injection: All looks normal, not obvious that my upper lip has fillers in it. The area above my upper lip, where the smokers lines were, is smooth, definitely fuller, definitely thicker: and my final verdict is, it looks good. No need to go chasing the resty with a dissolver. The fullness in this area has softened the look of the naso labial folds, which is definitely a plus.

After the swelling went down fully, on day 5 I developed a bump on the interior upper lip: only slightly noticeable to others, but certainly annoying and confusing to me. Research revealed that the salivary glands of the lips can become clogged or inflamed after trauma, or after significant swelling dies down, leaving what feels like a large cold sore, or blister. I looked up different treatments, which may include oral surgery, but after massage and application of topical products, mine finally diminished--not gone entirely, but greatly diminished--by day 10.

I have been a patient of Dr. Jegasothy's for a year and a half now. I couldn't ask for better results. She is an incredible doctor. She has a gentle hand, I have never experienced pain during a procedure. She has a keen eye and I always know I'm getting the best advice when it comes to the appearance of my skin. I also, have never felt overdone. She is conservative in her approach, which leaves me feeling "natural" and simply and improved version of myself. I wouldn't go to anyone else, and I recommend her to all my friends and family!!!! So glad I found her!!!!!!

The laser treatment was painless & I was completely at ease, just
Knowing that Dr Jegasothy knows what she's doing & her confidence. Loved the results- almost within 15 minutes!! I loved the office & the office staff . I also got Botox for my forehead and can't wait for the results. I've had this before & have always loved the results.
