Can you just get the vertical line? I had a tummy tuck without lipo about six years ago. Since then I have very developed abs and obliques but the fat layer is too thick to see the definition. I have a center line and two side lines on my stomach but faint. 1) can lipo make the center line more deep/defined? Will it damage my old muscle repair? 2) will stomach lipo help my natural four pack show through? I’m scared it won’t be nice and smooth if I get lipo.
Answer: Liposuction is a great solution for you Hi,Yes liposuction would be a great solution to get you more definition including the vertical line (which is what us surgeons call the linea alba). With tummy tucks, many surgeons perform limited liposuction is done to the front of the abdomen to ensure adequate blood supply and prevent wound healing issues. Now that you've had the skin reduced, liposuction can be a great option to reduce remaining fat and improve the overall definition. It should not damage the muscle repair. If you're looking for more definition, make sure you choose a surgeon that specializes in the procedure to ensure you get the most natural results possible. I love this procedure and think it can get fantastic results but can also end up with an odd and unnatural result in the wrong hands, so ensure you do your research!

Answer: Most definitely! Absolutely!!! This is why I almost always recommend having liposuction at the time of tummy tuck. What the liposuction does is help maintain feminin lines and definitions so that the results of the tummy tuck are less surgical in appearance and have more natural peaks and valleys. Doing liposuction will not damage the muscle repair that has already been done

Answer: VASER ab etching after tummy tuck Six-pack abs after ab etching VASER ab etching expert ab muscles after tummy tuck Dear Canx5, Thank you for your question regarding whether lipo can make the centerline more deep/defined and will it damage my old muscle repair. Thank you for your pictures and your surgical history. The first question is "Was your muscle repair during your tummy tuck?" Your muscle probably was repaired during your prior tummy tuck. If so, the rectus abdominis muscle is imbricated or plicated from the sternum to the top of the pubic region. This disrupts the anatomy of the rectus abdominis muscles. The rectus abdominis muscles are flat parallel muscles, which connect the bottom of your sternum to your pubic bone. contraction of these muscles allows for movements like a sit-up. The rectus muscles are oriented flat on your abdomen. During a tummy tuck, the rectus muscles are repositioned approximately 90° to their original orientation. Therefore, it is very difficult, if not impossible, to develop a six-pack abdomen after the muscles have been repaired during a tummy tuck. However, fortunately, there is another option to create six-pack abs after a tummy tuck. This is where abdominal etching comes into play. During VASER abdominal etching, an instrument is used called a VASER. The VASER helps to melt the fat and heat the skin around the abdomen so as to create a muscular abdomen. VASER ab etching yields exceedingly good results. If you wish, a center or vertical line can be created with the VASER. The central line of the abdomen is called the linea alba. The two parallel lines on the lateral border of the rectus are called the semi-lunaris lines. If you want the two lines around the lateral border of the rectus, this can be created with the VASER during ab etching. VASER abdominal etching will not damage your prior rectus muscle repair. If you wish, a single center line can be created for a certain "look". However, if you want the fully shredded, six-pack "look", consider sculpting the 3 verticals and 3 horizontal lines to create the athletic "look". If you do not have a six-pack and instead have a four-pack, a four-pack abdominal wall can be created with VASER liposuction. Since you had a prior tummy tuck, I doubt you will have loose skin. Loose skin after liposuction is more of a factor when you have too much skin before liposuction surgery. It appears that your abdomen is flat. Therefore, the VASER can be used on patients with a prior tummy tuck. The results can be exceptional. It will not damage your prior tummy, and you can have an extremely athletic abdomen. Good luck. I hope I’ve helped answer your question about whether lipo can be used to make a central line more deep and defined and whether it will damage your old muscle repair after your tummy tuck
