Can abdominal etching be performed on post menopausal women?

Question

I’m wondering if abdominal etching is something you can perform on post menopausal women. I’m 54, 130lbs, 5’5”. I had always had a flat stomach and ab definition until I went through menopause at 51. I know I won’t look 25 again, but what could I typically expect-or do you even do this on someone my age? Thanks

Hi Mimi1062.  Thank you for asking whether abdominal etching can be performed on post-menopausal women.  Thank you for your short history.  A physical examination is an order before your specific question can be answered about you.  However, in general, if you do not have loose abdominal skin and are without abdominal stretch marks, you may be a good candidate, for VASER high-definition six-pack abs etching.  Your age and post-menopausal status do not significantly prohibit you from undergoing  VASER high-definition six-pack abs etching.  The  VASER high-definition six-pack abs etching may be an ideal surgery if your abdominal skin is not sagging or lacks good recoil ability.  During  VASER high-definition six-pack abs etching, the six-pack abs are sculpted from the underlying abdominal wall.  The benefit of the VASER is that it helps to melt fat, sculpt the underlying rectus abdominis muscles, and help tighten the overlying skin.  The  VASER high-definition six-pack abs etching procedure is performed under general anesthesia and takes approximately three hours to complete.  Drains may or may not be needed. Thanks for your question! Without knowing the rest of your vitals, past medical history and at least photos of your abdomen, it is difficult to answer with complete certainty. With that said, if you have few medical problems, the yes, post-menopausal women can also get liposuction with abdominal etching! You may even look better than you did before surgery. Hello, the two main aspects for an abdominal etching ate the skin quality (the better elasticity the better retraction) and the amount of fat underneath the skin. (We sculpt fat removing more from the muscle edges).If skin quality is not good (previous pregnancies, weight changes) is more difficult to etch but almost 90% of cases is possible to get some etch. Hi Mimi.   Yes.   I have been performing Abdominal Etching for about 19 years now.   The oldest patient was a 71 year old man who was in great shape and just could never develop his abs.   It can be done at any age.  However, the one thing I tell all of my patients is.... The most important things to make Abdominal Etching look real are....  1) You should look like you should have a 6-pack!  And, 2) The procedure must be done well!   So, choose your surgeon wisely.
