I met Dr. Kilgo today, and he and his team were incredibly kind and professional. They took the time to explain everything clearly, which really helped ease my nerves. I left feeling comfortable, confident, and fully reassured about my upcoming procedure. After meeting them, I’m certain I’m in great hands.
After nine long years of waiting, researching, and overanalyzing every implant size known to mankind, I finally found the one—Dr. Matthew Kilgo at Garden City Plastic Surgical Group. And let me tell you… he delivered. I recently had a bilateral breast augmentation with lift and internal bra using Motiva round 320cc Demi profile implants with dual plane placement, and I am beyond OBSESSED. Dr. Kilgo was incredibly patient, genuinely listened to every one of my concerns (and there were a lot), and truly understood the vision I had. He struck that perfect balance of professional and approachable—never rushed, always kind, and somehow knew exactly what I meant when I said, I wanted fullness, but tasteful, also perky, but not too much, but also va-va-voom. Recovery has gone smooth, manageable, and with results I already love (and they’re not even fully settled yet!). The office staff has been so warm and helpful through every step. I’m also super excited to try the Deep Blue Med Spa. Shopping for new bras and bathing suits has become my new hobby—I’m basically just trying to plan my life around how often I can show off this incredible work. Truly, this was worth every second of the nine-year wait. Thank you, Dr. Kilgo, for making this dream come true and giving me a result that feels so me—only better
Dr.Matthew Kilgo is a master at his craft. He completely transformed my breasts when I thought there was no going back to them looking somewhat normal. I’m so grateful for this human. His bedside manner and his entire team were amazing every step of the way.
Dr Kilgo is the BEST. I’ve never had surgery before. I’m 51. It was a very big decision for me to have a breast lift, implants and liposuction. Dr. Kilgo reassured me that I would not look as though I’d had breast implants (I wanted to be as natural looking as possible) and he reassured me he heard everything I said about what I wanted as an outcome. He delivered to a “T” and more. His team is professional, kind and caring. His PA, Bobby is as good and professional as Dr Kilgo. The staff at the surgery center is top notch.
Dr Kilgo and all the staff members are absolutely amazing. They made me feel so comfortable. I was so happy with my surgery, recovery and end results. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone that is looking for a successful and pleasant experience.
Could not be happier with my lift and augmentation. This procedure did wonders for my confidence. Bobby and Dr. Kilgo are an amazing team and I highly recommend them. The surgical and office teams were also so great- I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Hello and thank you for your question. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to determine whether your implant has "flipped" without a physical examination. Unfortunately, the newer, highly cohesive implants with greater fill volumes tend to lead to a fairly noticeable change in breast shape when flipped. The anterior surface of the breast appears flatter and less projected, particularly if the implants are above the muscle. My suggestion would be to see your plastic surgeon for an examination to determine the cause of the change and what the next steps should be. Good luck. I hope this helps.
Hello and thank you for your question. Skin necrosis is a gradual process that occurs shortly after surgery. Initial signs include mottling of the skin that progresses over the following days to a deep purple hue. Eventually, with full thickness necrosis, the tissue becomes black and leathery consistent with an eschar. These changes typically occur within the first week or two after surgery.
Hello and thank you for your question. It is absolutely possible to deflate your implants before undergoing additional surgery. It can be easily done in the office and something I routinely encourage . Deflating the implants will give you a better idea of how your breasts will look after explanation and allow you to make a more informed decision about whether you would require replacement of the implants, a breast lift or a combination of the two. I've had patients who after deflation and skin retraction were pleased with the appearance of their breasts and decided on implant removal only. Good luck. I hope this helps.
Hello and thank you for your question. While it is not entirely possible to predict what your breasts may look like after explanation, important factors include the quality of your natural skin elasticity and the position of the nipple areolar complexes on the breast mound. Based on your photographs, your nipple position is favorable and would not likely require a breast lift after implant removal. Skin elasticity is best evaluated by physical examination, but given your age and assuming you haven't had children or significant weight fluctuations since your augmentation ( factors that may negatively impact skin elasticity) , I think it is more likely than not that your breasts will resume their natural shape after explanation. Good luck. I hope this helps.
Hello and thank you for your question. Yes, gummy bear implants tend to be softer and feel more natural than saline implants. The different manufacturers have a range of "Cohesivity" or gel thickness associated with their gummy bear implants. In general, the more cohesive implants feel a bit more firm, but still very natural. The other benefit of the gummy bear implants is that they tend to have less rippling than saline breast implants.
