Why did filler only work in 1 eye? Will more filler cause damage? (Photo)

It's hard to imagine that you're undercorrected with 2 cc total. I suspect you need an alternative treatment for no surgical skin tightening or alternative filler like Belotero. Good luck, Dr. Aldo

I'm not sure when you had your second injection, but it looks like you still have some swelling. For tear trough injections, I recommend using cannulas to minimize bruising and swelling. Belotero is a good filler for this area. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Bruising can complicate the result of eyelid filler injection. Best to give it a few more weeks and then re-evaluate. More filler injection is possible. But if there is true excess fat bags present, then lower blepharoplasty may be another option. See an oculoplastic specialist. See following link and video.

Juvederm is a so-called smooth filler.  It fixes bumps by the injector by drifting after placement.  That does not work well in the lip and in the under eye area.  Other products that have these issues include Belotero, and Restylane Silk for example.  This area requires products that do not drift.  Restylane works very well for this application.  It is fussy to place it but it hold and provides up to a year of benefit.

under the eyes (or tear troughs) requires a very experienced injector who fully
understands facial anatomy. Tear troughs are the most challenging to treat.  It would be best to allow the bruising and
swelling to resolve before adding additional filler.  For patients who bruise after injections, I offer
a complimentary treatment with photofacial (BBL) to the bruise which decreases
the time of bruising by 50%.  I would
recommend seeing a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon who has
extensive experience and training in treating this area and choice of fillers,
etc. as they will be able to better determine the best next step for you. 

Juvederm is not a good choice for filler under the eyes as it tends to hold onto fluid more so than other fillers.  If this has been recently done I would make sure to give it 2 weeks after the last injection to resolve any bruising or swelling. Also I wonder about where the filler was placed. 2cc is a lot of filler for not very much hollowness under the eyes.  Please follow up with an experienced physician injector.

That's a lot of filler in one tear trough.  Perhaps placement of the Juvederm was not directly on the orbital bone?  Juvederm is not a great choice for tear troughs because it can settle unevenly in this area as lymphatic fluid is drawn to the space.  I prefer Volbella or Restylane to fill tear troughs.  Since it has only been a couple of weeks since your injections, you can try doing hot compresses a few times a night... then lightly massage under your tear troughs in an outward motion.  This will help move any trapped fluid out of the pocket.  You can do this for a few days straight and you should see positive results.  Don't do any more filler yet.  Just let what you have settle in.... then have your injector reassess in a few weeks.  Wishing you so much bliss on your journey!

The tear trough and periorbital area can get chronic swelling/edema after Juvederm to this area. I only use Restylane for this. I also use only blunt cannulas so that there is less bruising risk and more safety. Darkening of the area can occur if the blood mixes with the filler. It becomes hard for the body to breakdown the old blood when it is within the filler. If there is still a groove needing filled, I'd fill with Restylane and cannulas. 

This may be residual bruising from the initial procedure. It can take longer for the bruising to resolve or you might want to consider laser treatment which can target the bruising.
