Thank you for your question. Neuromodulators (muscle relaxers) like Dysport, Botox, or Xeomin typically take 3-5 days to begin seeing results however, it takes up to 2 weeks for full results. For my first-time neuromodulator patients, I always have them follow-up in 2 weeks and can add more at that time if needed. It is always best to consult with a board certified Dermatologist or Plastic Surgeon who has extensive training in the field as it is not just the amount of neuromodulator used, but the technique and placement as well that determines results. Thank you for your question. It has been my experience that patients can have bruising for weeks after treatment but most patients see this resolve within 3 weeks. If you are required to be on blood thinners, bruising may last a while longer. It is important to note that all patients are different so healing time does differ from individual to individual and there are other side effects (pigment changes, inflammation, swelling, etc.) that may occur after treatment. I understand your concern as treatment with neuromodulators (muscle relaxers) like Dysport and Botox, when spaced too close together and in the same areas, can cause your muscles to no longer respond to treatment. It has been my experience that treatment with neuromodulators in a different location prior to the 3-4 month mark is appropriate. However, it has also been my experience that patients receive optimal results when they have all areas of concerns treated at the same time and follow-up every 3-4 months for treatment. It is always best to consult with a board certified Dermatologist or Plastic Surgeon who has extensive training in the field before deciding on any treatment regimen. So a smaller dose will result in shorter time of results. Thank you for your question.  The effects of neuromodulators (muscle relaxers) like Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin typically last 3-4 months.  As time progresses, you go back to your “baseline,” or where you were before your treatment.  I have found that patients who return every 3-4 months see the most benefit from their treatments as they don’t regress back to their baseline and these regular treatments prevent the formation of new fine lines and wrinkles.  It would be best to consult with a board certified Dermatologist or Plastic Surgeon who has extensive training and experience in the field.  Best wishes!
