I had bad results with juvederm ultra plus. Went to a very respected board certified dermatologist, I paid 975.00 for one syringe. my records did not include bar code lot number etc. i have been asking for it for three days now and they are avoiding the answer. I told them I won't accept bar code and lot n days after because it gives them time to get a legit bar code that is not necessarily mine should it be gray market. How can i find out if I was injected with a gray market product?
Answer: Juvederm authentic products The Juvederm packaging comes with stickers that contain lot numbers. They also have expiration dates on them. There is no way for you to determine if the product injected was authentic or not. You may request in the future to see the box and products before injection. If you went to a reputable board certified physician there is a good chance that authentic products were used.

Answer: My medical records did not include lot number of product. How do I find out if it was a gray market product? Thank you for sharing your question and experience and I am sorry to hear of your Juvederm treatment difficulties. Unfortunately without having seen the box or blister package that the product comes in it is unlikely that you will be able to find if the syringe was from a gray market. That said it would be unusual to find a respected physician using a questionable product due to the consequences of being discovered. Hope this helps.

Answer: Juvederm gray market It is likely an innocent mistake that the placement of the sticker into the chart was not done. If that was not done at the time it is likely impossible to get your exact sticker with lot number after the fact. If your doctor is on the allergan website as a provider and is respected in the community you likely don't have anything to worry about. If you had a bad result I would follow up with your injecting physician asap.

Answer: Can I find out if the Juvederm was bought on the gray market? Each Juvederm syringe comes with a sticker in the package. It contains the lot number and expiration date. It is not a bar code. It will be impossible to say whether the product came through gray market or not because any lot number can be given to you at this point. The reason to go to a reputable provider is that they are unlikely to try to purchase on the gray market to cut costs. Make sure the provider is found on Allergan's website. The problem with gray market products are that there is no way to know that you are actually receiving authentic Juvederm or that the Juvederm was transport/stored correctly when being shipped.
