I am a repeat client with Dr. Repta my first surgery with him was about 9 or 10 years ago. In the meantime instead of waiting for Dr. Repta in a hurried fashion I chose another very very prominent plastic surgeon here in the Scottsdale area who’s been in the business for over 25 years to perform Liposuction and upper abdominal plasty. The results were disastrous, painful. It left me with limited range of motion in my left arm as he carried the incision line to the back of my shoulder blade, and very lumpy and bumpy all over my abdomen- When suturing the skin under my breasts he attached so tightly to under the breast tissue almost to the muscle so as it healed it continually pulled towards my navel very painful unable to do Pilates, yoga any of my normal exercise so horrible. Enough about that horror story. Of course my next call was Dr. Repta, Who in turn performed a bra line back lift, revision upper abdominoplasty breast reshaping and fat transfers he through the kitchen sink at it. This man is my angel I am one week out, and it will be a while before I see true results but let’s let the images speak for themselves. His staff is amazing, save yourself heartache, pain, and do it right the first time go see Dr. Repta.
I have been contemplating getting liposuction for my neck/under my chin area for some time, but I didnt want that kind of down time or the expense of it. So Ive been doing some research online and came across Agnes RF. Honestly part of the reason Im writing this review is because theres not many out there. I am so happy with the results that I want to spread the word for other people who are looking into alternative methods for submental fat. Actually it works very well for under eye fat pads as well vs having surgery to remove it. So the treatment itself was more painful then I expected and the recovery as well. A lot of swelling and bruising as well as pain and numbness. Its been 2.5 wks now and Im still having skin sensitivity and tightness as well as numbness. With that being said I would do it again just cause Im so pleased with the results. Ive only had one treatment and its made a huge difference already. I also did my buccal fat area again to avoid surgery to that area. I had Secret Microneedling done in conjunction with the Agnes for skin tightening of my jawline and jowls area. Im super happy with the results and highly recommend it. Ive also had Vivace and Virtue Microneedling a few months prior to the Agnes RF which I loved and saw great results with. I will post another review on those ones.
I researched Dr. Repta for a tummy tuck, breast reduction and a bra line back lift. I followed him for almost a year before I had my procedures done. I think I watched every YouTube video he's ever done. He is seriously the top of the line when you think of plastic surgeons. I had a tattoo on my back and he lined it up so evenly. I'm hoping once I heal, you will not even be able to tell. He truly has a gift and turned my body into a piece of art. Unfortunately, I can't post the other pictures here. He was gentle, kind and very professional! His office staff Evelin and Rula were the BEST! Even the silliest questions I had, were answered almost immediately with grace and professionalism. I stayed the night in their "sanctuary" after surgery for one night which was incredible. I was blessed to be taken care of by nurse Lisa during my overnight stay who even called me a few days earlier to introduce herself and ask me if I had any questions. She was a true Angel. So gentle, kind and caring and definitely has a gift for serving others. She made me feel comfortable and explained what she was doing before she did anything. The amazing part was we had both moved to different parts of the United States, but after talking some we realized we were from the same state and knew the same friends. What are the chances of that? Only God could have orchestrated something like that. Not only did I have an amazing nurse that night, I gained a friend!! I wish there were more nurses in this world like her. If you are thinking of having plastic surgery, DO IT! I highly recommend checking out Dr. Repta's social media accounts and take look at the pictures for yourself. (Especially his YouTube channel and Instagram accounts). He also uses Snap Chat and posts several live posts throughout the week of before and after procedures. Do the research first! I hear people all the time shopping around for the "cheapest" procedure. I know everyone is different, but you're NOT shopping for a pair of shoes.......this is your life! I have had ZERO complications and I'm almost two weeks out. The pain has been very minimal to say the least. Thank you Dr. Repta for changing my life!! AT
I scheduled my consultation and appointment last year. After watching Dr. Repta's videos on YouTube and following him on instagram I knew he would the first I spoke to. After sending my photos, Dr. Repta recommended a Fleur de lis Tummy tuck. I understand why the vertical incision is needed. After having 3 pregnancies and the first was with twins I have a lot of stretched skin in all directions! Dr. Repta was soft spoken and kind, he really listens what you are looking for and what's best for your body. Since he is in a different state my consultation was over phone. I will be flying out the day before the procedure for pre-op appointments. On an emotional level I am very conflicted. This procedure is more than a lot of money. I am a special needs mom and everything I do is for my kids or my family as a whole. My husband and I haven't had any kind of respite since we had our kids and only trust immediate family to watch them. With this trip we are spending 2 weeks away while I heal from the surgery before going back home. I am having a lot of guilt about getting it done and leaving my kids and spending so much money, can anyone else relate? Updated on 12 Feb 2021: Ok so a few weeks have gone by and time is simultaneously going slow and going by so fast! Thank you for all the positive comments, I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who feels that way. I wanted to list some things that I got for the surgery. After youtubing and reading online blogs I've found some things on amazon. Memory foam pillows (to help support in bed), Leg compression massagers boots (for circulation), Arnica gel, Scar ointment ( can't remember the name), and drain holders. Margo, the practice manager, called to remind me to have a Covid test done at least 7 days before the surgery. So I now have one scheduled for the 26th. We are staying at an Airbnb because it was significantly cheaper to do so. My mother-in-law was filling out FLMA paperwork to take more time off to help and Margo was so helpful getting things filled out and sent back. Unfortunately she was denied and is trying to take off a different way. Anyone have time off denied? How did you do working while recovering? Updated on 19 Feb 2021: Ok I know this question is a little TMI but come on this sight is full of naked photos so I'm just going to jump in and ask. I just got my period this week, so yay no period during surgery, but I've read the surgery triggers your period, so am I going to have another period after my surgery? Anyone have that happen? Also super excited to be a week and a few days away!!! My coordinator, Alicia sent me my prep information for the surgery, things are getting real you guys!! Updated on 21 Feb 2021: Here is a picture of our calendar, we are trying to help our kids understand when we leave, how long we will be gone and when we come back. It's hard for them to understand these difficult concepts sometimes. Updated on 25 Feb 2021: Hello! So I have started my laxative and Arnica pills. Hopefully they will aid my surgery healing time. Has anyone used Arnica before and felt it really helped? Anyone have two surgery's and used Arnica with one and then without? Mostly just curious! Random thought but I noticed so many grammatical errors in my pervious posts, for that I am sorry! Updated on 7 Mar 2021: I'm writing this 3 days Post op,the first two days took a toll on my body and I slept and went potty. Now I can reminisce about what happened and give everyone the details. I arrived at 845am to the surgery center. They had me change and put my compression socks and back less rob on. Dr.Repta came to see me and ask if I had any questions. He wanted to make me feel comfortable before marking me. So he talked about the construction outside and to the buildering. He marked me with a dry erase marker. He said the lines were the estimate and may change in surgery. After that the anisegologist came in, he was so kind he numbed me a little first then put in the IV. He gave me something to relax and then I was wheeled in to the OR. He gave me a mask and that was the last thing I remembered. Lol I woke up, surgery included a stay in the sanctuary over night and Lisa and Karen were heaven sent. So kind and caring they helped me get through the rough first day after. My husband came to visit and brought me flowers and chocolate lol Updated on 11 Mar 2021: Omg guys!!! Dr. Repta is a miracle worker!! When he replaced the first binder, I got to look in the mirror and almost cried. I didn't want to touch my belly thinking it wasn't real. So my husband was amazing and while Dr.Repta was doing surgery his assistant recorded educational videos, my husband screen shot a few. If you think it's cool check Dr.Repta out on YouTube, his Instagram and Snapchat. Healing wise I am doing well, getting up and walking, using my leg circulation massagers, and Dr.Reptas #1 advice drink Water, Water, Water!! Lol Updated on 31 Mar 2021: Hello!! Man, time flies!! It is now one month since surgery. I am feeling just a little soreness when getting up and down but wearing my compression garments gives me a sense of support. My tape has stuck on and I've only washed my incision area once a week with antiseptic soap. In between I try and keep my skin hydrated and under compression garments. And before you say ew, I do sponge bath a lot more than that, I just don't want an infection in my incision or my drain hole. I have roughly 20-25cc at the end of the days and I will wait until 15cc total for three days straight before I take it out, as Dr.Repta suggested. I have no feeling near the incision but I can feel a strange tingling around the outside when I touch my skin. So I continue to heal, my kids don't really understand so its a struggle to not have them climb on me when I sit down. Hope everyone is doing well!! Updated on 10 Apr 2021: Finally my tapes have been pulled off because the were peeling and pretty pointless. I also had family help remove my drain, and that's honestly didn't hurt at all. The stich that was holding the drain tube was causing more pain than the removal. Compression and ibuprofen help with the swelling. Updated on 24 Apr 2021: Final update (maybe) Almost 2 months update, my whole incision is healed, it looks amazing. Dr Repta is truly amazing, he really gave me back my body. The only thing I wish to nitpick about is his follow ups and scar treatment that we never got. Since I was an it off town patient, I would think his staff or Dr. Repta followed up better. After my 3rd week follow up I forgot to reschedule the 4th week or 5th week follow up. I was never contacted since, also I was suppose to receive a scar treatment for when my incision heals but I forgot to ask about it while in town and during the phone call follow up. I think Dr. Repta is truly a genius at what he does but if your from out of town you can easily slip through the cracks. Updated on 26 Apr 2021: Dr. Repta and his team were amazing, he truly is amazing at what he does, and his staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend signing up to use the first night sanctuary care. Lisa and Caryn were my nurses gave me such great peace of mind that first night and truly care about my well being and comfort. I gave Dr. Repta 4 stars because after we left to go back home we became just another number. Thankfully, I didn't have any emergencies, but I only had one follow up call at 3 weeks. To be fair, I forgot to schedule the next one, but no one reached out to me since. The other reason is that he was incredibly expensive and the scar treatment that comes with the surgery was never received. Dr. Repta has amazing bedside manner, he is a genius during surgery, but he is very busy and if you are not assertive, you will be forgotten.
I had temporal implants put in after a car accident 10 years ago and over time they began to cause me health issues so I wanted them taken out. Dr. Repta and his staff were so professional and caring, they answered all my questions and made me feel confident and safe going into the procedure. Thankfully it was a fairly easy, quick surgery that required local anesthesia only. Dr. Repta's calm bedside manner and confidence in his craft made the whole experience enjoyable and educational (I ask a lot of questions:) From beginning to end I was treated with the utmost care. I had a great experience and would highly recommend him to anyone. He's both an artist and a skilled surgeon.
He left me exactly like I pictured. He is marvelous and so attentive to all his patients. I recommend him to everyone. He also worked on my sisters entire body lift. We're two walking barbies now <3 Your consult, surgery and recovery is all in one place. It's like a one stop shop. YOU WILL NOT REGRET BEING DONE BY DR. REPTA.
I traveled half way across the country to have Dr. Repta revise and repair a poorly done tummy tuck by another plastic surgeon 8 months. My original incision was too high, asymmetrical, and had dog ears. If this wasn't bad enough, poor post op instructions, management and follow-up care resulted in my having a huge pseudobursa scar and active seroma. Dr. Repta skillfully and artfully corrected the deformities as well as left me pain free (for the first time in months). As a male model and competitive body builder, the aesthetics of this procedure are of course extremely important and in this category Dr. Repta hit a home run. But relieving the daily pain I was experiencing is even more important. I am only one week post op and the results are already dramatic. Thank you Dr. Repta, and thank you to all in his practice for your wonderful care.
A few years ago I had a BBL done by Dr.Repta and this month he did my facial fat transfer, which both procedures came out great! I was happy with my results. He has such a professional and nice mellow disposition. His office staff and nurses are sweet too! I would highly recommend Dr. Repta and you can trust his beautiful work. Updated on 27 Jun 2019: Updated on 27 Jun 2019: My face is still healing so no pics yet but the outcome is coming out great. I’m sure everyone would agree that when it comes to your face you want a board certified plastic surgeon that’s top notch, like Dr. Repta
I actually went to 3 different doctors before choosing Dr. Repta for my surgery. I pretty much knew right away that Dr. Repta was going to be my doctor. I loved how he came in to meet and talk to me before getting into a robe. He was very professional and this help put me at ease. I had a severe diastasis recti (separation of the abdomen) and needed a tummy tuck in order to fix it. I also had a two hernias, too. I wanted it done with as little noticeable scarring as possible. I was so nervous about the incision and scar. Other than where my belly button ring used to be (which got stretched from twins and an additional pregnancy), the scarring is not even an issue! The incision is so low and so thin. I also appreciate the honest expectations he gave me. I did underestimate the recovery, but he was also very upfront about it from the beginning. I am so happy with my results and would do it again in a heart beat. I look forward to using Dr. Repta again in the future for a breast augmentation. I would highly recommend him!
Dr. Repta is an artist. He listened to my concerns and I just trusted him to do what he thought was the best to correct my breast and shape. I had fat transfer to the breast with breast lift, fat transfer to the buttocks and liposuction from stomack and love handles. My results are incredible and truly life changing. I can't thank him enough. His staff is also nice and accommodating.
Thank you for the question. Without the before photos it will be hard to know. It may be that your skin doesn’t have enough skin elasticity or that not enough skin was removed. The presence of stretch marks is an indication that the skin does not have normal skin elasticity.
Thank you for the question. If they are permanent sutures the “spitting“ suture should be removed. If it’s a dissolvable suture like Monocryl it can be left of place. Sometime lancing the area with a needle can let the area drain and help heal the area faster.
Thank you for the question and photo. It does not look like the classic signs of an infection. It may be a hair follicle issue or perhaps a suture knot issue. You’ll want to have your plastic surgeon take a look to make sure there is nothing that should be done in the interim.
Great question. The recovery from a TT with twilight should be comparable to general anesthesia. While twilight may reduce the chance of nausea, the discomfort and fatigue associated with a TT procedure is related to the physical recovery process and not the medications used for anesthesia.
Thank you for the question and photo.Although you do no have a lot of loose skin the amount that is currently present is at and around the belly button location. The only way to significantly and permanently fix this issue is a full tummy tuck. There is the likely possibility that you may also need a small vertical incision just about your pubic area. This incision will be the remnant of where your belly button used to be. I think a full tummy tuck with a low horizontal incision, a small vertical incision near your pubic area, and liposuction of the flanks would be a good option.
