Subtle alar base reduction for width? Is it possible to reduce nostrils but still keep the original shape of the nose? (photo)

I believe it is difficult to alter any part of the nose and not change the overall appearance. I have had good results just using Botox to the muscles that cause the nasal flaring. These muscles are active only when smiling and have no impact on other aspects of facial expression. Most plastic surgeons know this anatomy well and would be able to target the appropriate muscles. You can smile and express yourself normally, but without flaring of the nostrils. Any asymmetry that is present at rest however will not change.

photograph, you may benefit from a tip refining rhinoplasty. Your surgeon can
accomplish this by trimming, suturing, and reshaping the cartilage in your
lower nose. You may also benefit from a subtle alar base reduction.  Make sure you specifically look at before and after
pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon
and not just a computer animation system. The most important
aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seek
