After receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree from NYU, Dr. Soni chose to become a plastic surgeon because it melded his innate artistic abilities with a desire to improve the quality of life for others.
I’ll have a lot to write when I’m feeling better but I wanted to leave a note to say that Dr Soni just got a “Top Docs” designation in CT Magazine for 2022. I consulted with 4 board certified plastic surgeons and based on Dr. Soni’s certifications, his Real Self reviews, his before and after photos here/on his website and in his office and his sincerity/bedside manner, I knew by the time I left his office that he was who I wanted to do my surgery. His entire staff was wonderful too! So give him the opportunity to “wow” you and he will. He’s a gem!!
From my consultation to my post-op appointments Dr. Soni took the time to listen to me, answer all my questions, and give me the knowledge I needed to move forward. I was extremely nervous before surgery and Dr Soni, his team, and all the staff at the hospital were incredibly kind and patient with my anxiety. I have no regrets about my decision, and am really amazed and happy with the results. Post surgery Dr. Soni called me that night to make sure I was doing alright and kept a close eye on me until I had healed. He was up front and clear about possible costs if surgery time went over, which it did a little bit. In the end it's only money and I'm so grateful to finally have the ability and opportunity to have what I've wanted for so long! I highly recommend and am very pleased with Dr. Soni's care and whole medical practice.
I went for a consultation with Dr. Soni in the beginning of 2018 because I was starting to see jowls and some neck sagging. I wasn’t quite ready to take the plunge but I was now much more informed about the procedure. So in January of 2019 I went back for another consult because I was ready! I had a mini lower face lift February 28, 2019. I couldn’t be happier with the results! Dr. Soni explained everything and gave his professional opinion which was so valuable- I trusted him and I’m happy I did. My surgery was performed at Danbury Hospital in the one day surgery center- the staff was so nice and very compassionate. I never experienced any real pain ever. I took one Percocet about an hour after the procedure ( I was out so I never felt a thing ) and one before bed that evening but nothing but Tylenol after that for bedtime only, for about a week. Dr. Soni’s staff in the Danbury office were wonderful- the nurses are so caring and compassionate. I feel and look great!!! I may post some pics in the near future. Such a good experience with Dr. Soni- he’s so easy to talk to, he took as much time as I needed for questions. The hospital staff said they would choose him if they wanted plastic surgery-so that says it all.
I went to Dr. Soni for a breast augmentation consultation in April after having known him previously from a facial fracture surgery. I have always wanted a breast aug but never wanted to have “large” boobs so I always felt like the surgery would be a waste of money. Before the consult with Dr. Soni, I saw another surgeon and told him my concerns, stating that I only wanted to go up about a cup size and still look petite and athletic. He recommended no smaller than 300-350ccs because everyone ends up “regretting” not going bigger. When trying on that size, I felt uncomfortable and knew I would not be happy with those results. During the consult with Dr. Soni, he made me feel extremely comfortable with my choice of 250ccs. I am 5’1 and 115 pounds with an athletic build and he agreed that size would look good for my frame. We decided on 250cc silicone implants placed under the muscle with the incision under the nipple. I booked my surgery for August. Dr. Soni scheduled a pre-op appointment but was open to me coming back as many times as I needed before surgery for my mom to come and ask questions/see what I would look like with the implant in my bra etc. Due to a previous heart condition, Dr. Soni recommended we have my surgery at a hospital rather than outpatient center to be on the safe side which made me feel reassured and even more comfortable using him as my surgeon. On the day of surgery, Dr. Soni marked me up and off we went to the OR. He told me beforehand that he was bringing “spacers” so that if he had to use another implant rather than 250ccs for symmetry he would have them. During surgery, he felt my right breast had more tissue and I would look more symmetric with 250cc in my left breast and 225 in my right breast. He was on point. I couldn’t be happier with the way my augmentation turned out. It was definitely an uncomfortable recovery but it was so so worth it. I returned to work after 3 weeks (I work as a physical therapist and wanted to be sure I was healed as my job is labor intensive) and began working out after 6 weeks. I love the look of the results and the breast implants themselves continue to feel softer and more natural with each passing week. Dr. Soni did a PERFECT job with the sizing and the scaring is SO minimal under the nipple line that it would be difficult to tell if a person didn’t know I had surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Soni for breast augmentation surgery. Not only is he a great surgeon but his bedside manner and personality makes you feel comfortable throughout the entire process.
After seeing so many plastic surgeons I came to Dr. Soni’s office with a list of questions I had and he was able to answer all of them patiently, making me feel comfortable and sure that he was the plastic surgeon I was looking for. He did everything exactly how I asked for.I’m very happy and thrilled with my results and I would highly recommend doctor Soni for anyone looking for a great plastic surgeon.
Dr. Soni is very talented, skillful, compassionate, warm, and took time to fully discuss all aspects of the surgery before and after my procedure. In the entire process from the beginning through all the follow up visits you receive the same quality care.
Took me 10 years to find a doctor that would make me feel comfortable and safe to do my nose. Dr Soni is not just a plastic surgeon he is a Picasso on his field, and pretty soon he will do my breast implants. Also the whole staff from his office are wonderful!! The best surgeon ever!!
Dr. Soni was the first plastic surgeon I saw for a consultation, and after one minute with him, I knew he was the ONLY plastic surgeon I needed to speak with. He instantly made me feel comfortable. He is not only caring, compassionate, and patient, but his skill as a surgeon is nothing short of masterful. He is an artist. I was in surgery for 10 hours, while he tirelessly and skillfully undid years of damage to my body. I lost 120 lbs with diet and exercise, and my body did not bounce back. Dr. Soni removed 7lbs of skin from my arms, stomach, and thighs. He has held my hand every step of the way since. He has kindly scheduled me extra appointments when I was worried, performed procedures in office to aide in healing, and even referred me to other doctors when he noticed problems completely unrelated to any of my procedures during one of my follow up appointment. I would get my surgeries done over and over if I knew Dr. Soni would be my surgeon. I trust him implicitly. If you are considering getting plastic surgery, please choose Dr. Soni.
My experience with Dr. Soni was just fantastic. I had been going to Dr. Soni for several years as he was my physician for Botox and fillers. I would occasionally speak to the Doctor about more in depth cosmetic surgeries and procedures. Dr. Soni never made me feel rushed and he was comfortable and confident in answering my many questions. He never made me feel that my time was up, or that he was in a hurry to get to his next patient. His demeanor was always pleasant and his easy manner and sincere smile made me feel important and understood. I went ahead and scheduled two surgeries with Dr. Soni and I couldn't be more pleased or satisfied with his work! He is known as the doctor who takes his time! I am so delighted with the results of the surgeries and with Dr. Soni's meticulous and gifted care. He is intelligent and skilled, yet never flaunts his abilities. He is humble and talented and generally all around nice person! You don't usually find that in a brilliant doctor. One usually sacrifices bedside manner for talent and skill, but not with Dr. Soni. You can have both and we deserve both! I have had nothing short of a great experience with Dr. Prashant Soni.
Dating back to my 20s, I have had body issues surrounding the appearance of my abdomen. I never felt I could wear a two-piece bathing suit, and planned on doing a “yummy tuck” for a very long time. I am a nurse practitioner and aware of the risks and complications of major surgery-including abdominoplasty. And so, I did my research to find a plastic surgeon who could meet my expectations and improve my physical appearance, and who also had a proven track-record for safety. I spoke to patients, nurses and residents at Danbury Hospital to see what their thoughts were about the plastic surgeons. Dr. Prashant Soni was the obvious choice and I schedule a consultation. After meeting him and discussing the abdominoplasty procedure, I felt comfortable and secure enough to proceed with the surgery as well as a breast reduction and liposuction in a few different areas. It has only been a few months since my surgery but I am amazed at the results! The procedures exceeded my expectations and it is like a dream come true! Dr. Soni not only has an exceptional bedside manner but is a detail-oriented surgeon and an artist! I ever decided to have any more surgery, without doubt he would be m only choice!
I generally find the back rolls improve with liposuction. There is a fair degree of skin contraction that occurs over time. I avoid laser assisted or ultrasound assisted liposuction here as it can lead to burns and seroma even though they may improve skin contraction. Don’t expect complete smoothness in this area, but the results are better than skin excision which leaves a large scar. Best regards, Prashant Soni M.D.
based on your pictures, I would also have tried Botox first. Assuming that was ineffective at the appropriate doses(30 to 40 units), then it may be time to consider a lift. A true neck lift will tighten the muscles under the chin and often remove skin from behind the ears. After this is done, I still recommend Botox to the neck muscles every 6 months to keep the muscles from separating as time progresses. Discuss these options with a board certified plastic surgeon. Best Regards, Prashant Soni M.D.
It may be possible to open up your upper lids with an upper blepharoplasty. Another option is to use Botox to create a subtle brow lift. Possibly a combination of both is ideal. An office consultation is necessary to decide the best option. The narrowing of your eyes also seems to be due to thickening of the muscle called the orbicularis oculi. A little bit of Botox, placed in the appropriate area of the lower lids is a great way to soften the muscle ridge that forms when you smile and also relieves the narrowing of your eyes. Speak to a board certified plastic surgeon that has experience with surgery and Botox. Best regards, Prashant Soni M.D.
my first impression from looking at your photos is that you are a good candidate for an open rhinoplasty approach. Your dorsal hump can be reduced and the nasal tip can be refined under direct vision. The open approach also allows for fixation of the nasal shape with sutures and decreases the risk of asymmetries forming due to movement of the cartilage during the healing process. Make sure you don’t need any septal surgery for an undiagnosed deviated septum that can result in a twisted appearance once the dorsal hump has been lowered. Make sure your surgeon is board certified in plastic surgery and has photos of actual patients to review with you. I also like to have patients bring photos of noses taken from magazines or social media that reflect the patients desired appearance. This is a useful guide to me during the operation and helps me guide the patient toward realistic expectations. Best regards, Prashant Soni M.D.
this separation is present at the time of the surgery with most dorsal hump reductions. Nasal bones are fractured to close this gap in proportion to the degree of narrowing that needs to be accomplished at the time. The soft tissue generally blends the transition between the bone segments. If the bones had been overnarrowed, then the bone separation may be less palpable, but the nose would likely appeared pinched or deviated. Best regards, Prashant Soni M.D.
