Alarplasty or tip plasty? (Photo)

Question

I have a problem of drooping nose tip whenever I smile.. the nostril also contracted and push my nose tip downward... Im confuse on which surgery should I opt to.. here are my photos.. Please help me..

Hello,A closed rhinoplasty will be able to address the tip plasty the best. I don't believe you need an alarplasty. I would rotate the nose upwards and prevent the excess pulldown when smiling. We utilize multiple maneuvers to carefully rotate the tip of the nose to lift it to an elegant height and design without any telltale signs of surgery. Thank you for your question. A rhinoplasty can address both your tip and your base. I suggest that you move forward and consult with a board certified facial plastic surgeon to determine your candidacy for rhinoplasty, and what will work best for you. Please keep in mind that the nose is an individual characteristic.

Hello and thank you for your excellent question. You may be a candidate for a resection of the nasal depressor muscles (amongst other procedures). Of course, you will need an in-person consultation to evaluate you for this procedure. Preoperative visualization and surgical simulation with the Crisalix system may help with your decision. Any treatment plan should be based on a detailed discussion with equal input from both you and your surgeon.    Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results.   The most important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with.
