I appreciateyour question.Best to be at a BMI less than 30 or within 10 pounds of your goal weight and stable at that weight for 6 months prior to surgery for optimal results. The best wayto assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam. Please see aboard-certified plastic surgeon that specializes in aesthetic and restorativeplastic surgery.Best of luck!Dr. SchwartzBoardCertified Plastic SurgeonDirector-BeverlyHills Breast and Body Institute#RealSelf100Surgeon
Ican appreciate how difficult a weight loss program is. Clearly the goal is toachieve stable weight. From there you might discuss a program of extensiveliposuction followed by skin removal as a secondary procedure. This couldinvolve abdominoplasty, lower body lift, etc. Difficult to say about yourbreasts. Perhaps a breast lift alone would suffice?
In my opinion it's imperative for you to lose weight before undergoing a mommy makeover. The complication rate for what is primarily a cosmetic operation is just too great with such a high BMI.
Mommy Makeover Surgery is an extremely popular procedure with high patient satisfaction. It involves breast rejuvenation; breast lift, with or without implants and Tummy-tuck. It is all usually performed at one time, but can be staged as well. It is important to try to get as close as possible to an ideal weight before surgery to achieve the best result. Be sure to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon with lots of experience. Good luck!
Thank you for your question and series of photographs. I would recommend following a healthy diet and exercise regimen until you reach your desired goalweight. This weight should be one where you are comfortable at, and canmaintain, as weight fluctuations will affect your long-term results. Anyweight loss before surgery will not only be in your best interest from a safetypoint of view, but also in obtaining the best cosmetic results. You may find that investment in gyms, personal trainers, and nutritionalists offer good motivation and accountability for patients to help them reach their ultimate goals. Talk to your primary care doctor as well about other weight loss options and possibly even surgery depending on any current medical conditions you have. Best wishes!
Thank you for the question. You will need to lose additional weight before considering body contouring procedures. It sounds like you are already making efforts to lose weight, so you are on the right track! Good luck!
Thank you for your pictures. They're greatly appreciated. Weight loss can be a struggle for anyone. In my opinion, I would recommend the following methods of weight loss. I would see your primary care physician for weight management strategies that may include medications to help with weight loss. If your primary care physician feels that Weight reduction surgery is appropriate then he or she can make the appropriate referral. Once you have met your goal weight most certainly, a mommy makeover is very possible. I wish you the best of luck in achieving your goals.
At this time you are not a candidate for a Mommy Makeover. It's recommended that patients have a BMI of 30 or under in order to avoid increased risk of complications such as seroma, infection, poor wound healing, and sub par results. You may want to speak with your PCP about weight loss assistance. I offer semaglutide weight loss options in my office for those searching for weight management solutions.
Thank you very much for your question. As you point out, and you're trying to do, weight loss is the first step. Diet and exercise, or a gastric bypass/sleeve procedure, will assist with that. Once you are down to a more healthy weight, and are able to maintain that weight, then patients are better candidates for body contouring procedures. You can always consult with a plastic surgeon now to start the discussion of what and when. Best of luck on your journey!
Recommend gastric bypass/sleeve surgery to get your weigh down. Because at this BMI you are NOT a candidate for MMO surgery
The procedures often included in a Mommy Makeover are breast lift, augmentation or both, a tummy tuck and liposuction though these are variable based on patient goals. They are considered elective and are not covered by insurance. Many board certified plastic surgeons will accept financing...
Finding comfortable positions when having surgery on your front and back can be challenging. I encourage you to speak to your surgeon for suggestions. You will likely need to be on your sides and having support from pillows will be helpful.
When selecting a surgeon you should choose someone that has the expertise to provide you with the results you want and the compassion to give you the care and empathy you deserve. A mommy makeover can be an amazing life changer. However, poor results or a poor experience can happen if you a...
