In my own practice I for the most part left patients assume any position that is comfortable for them. However, your surgeon may have some limitations. Make certain you discuss the restrictions with the surgeon.

You don't have a lot of options other than alternating sleeping on your sides. I would echo Dr. Morgan's comments below. You will be uncomfortable so make sure you have help available for your recovery.

Your simplest solution after this combination of procedures is to alternate sleeping on your side. Discuss in detail with your surgeon so that you are ready for your recovery.

Finding comfortable positions when having surgery on your front and back can be challenging. I encourage you to speak to your surgeon for suggestions. You will likely need to be on your sides and having support from pillows will be helpful.
