Cost to fix crooked columella? (photos)

Question

Hi, I've always had a crooked columella, and I believe it's due to the fact that one nostril is slightly higher than the other and not from a deviated septum as my nose is quite straight. I hate it and always notice it in photos. I was wondering how much the cost would be. Also, would there be any way to make my nostrils less noticeable? Thank you

Hello,An in person consultation is needed to fully determine if your columella is the issue. As for the price, it is very difficult to determine because every surgeon prices differently. From the pictures you provided, I believe you have a subtle dislocation of your caudal septum to the left.  This is similar to a sliding door being off its track, which can adversely affect the tip cartilages.  I recommend you seek consultation with a rhinoplasty surgeon!

Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your
photograph, you may benefit from a tip refining rhinoplasty. Your surgeon can
accomplish this by trimming, suturing, and reshaping the cartilage in your
lower nose. You may also benefit from cartilage grafting to help straighten your columella.  Cost varies based on geographic region and surgeon expertise.  Make sure you specifically look at before and after
pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon
and not just a computer animation system. The most important
aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seek
consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate
you in person.

The caudal septum is likely deviated to that side and causing fullness of your columella on one side.  A tip rhinoplasty should be able to correct this.

From the photos it looks as though you may have had prior surgery. It will be important to tell your surgeon a complete history including any previous surgery to your nose. Regardless, it looks like a faily minor correction that can probably be performed in the office under just a local anesthetic. Go get some consults. Good luck.
