Oily nose after Rhinoplasty 6 months post op. Is this permanent?

Hi, it has been 6 months since my surgery. My nose gets super oily now, which it was often dry before the surgery. I know that your skin goes crazy for a while, but i feel like it should be back to normal by now.

It can take longer than 6 months for your nose to fully evolve and heal. This includes the issue you have noted in terms of your  nose being more oily. I tell patients it can take upwards of a full year after rhinoplasty before the nose completely heals.

Hello,It takes about a full year for a nose to heal after a rhinoplasty. This includes swelling and changes in skin composition like you are describing. Consider visiting a skin care specialist for a facial.  It is unusual for the skin to change the way your described following Rhinoplasty surgery.  If you have changed your diet, skin care products, or experiencing stress, these factors can cause skin changes.  Follow up with a Dermatologist for an evaluation.
