Is swelling on one side of nose common after rhinoplasty? (Photos)

Hello,Swelling is very common. I do not think it is anything to worry about. It usually takes 1-3 years for the swelling to fully go down after a rhinoplasty. The tip takes the longest time to heal and mold to the new framework because it is the thickest skin of the nose. The skin over the profile is thinner than the skin over the tip. Patience is required during this healing phase. I have seen skin reactions from the use of Mastisol, a commonly used skin preparation applied before taping. It can be very impressive with blisters and wound issues. I don't know, of course if this product was used but if it was then it may help explain your unusual reaction.  The persistent and lopsided swelling would be expected after this reaction as well.  It will take many months for the swelling to resolve to a point where the tissues are soft and pliable and you can reevaluate your result with your surgeon or seek second opinion.  Anything done immediately would be ill advised in my opinion
