27F, no wrinkles. Wanted a Botox brow lift and doctor recommended 120 units of Jeuveau. Never had any type of botox before. Would I be more likely to have negattive side effects fom overinjection? (Such as drooping brow).
Answer: How Much Botox For Brow Lift 120 units of Jeuveau is way too much for a Brow lift. Are you sure they did not mean Dysport? Even then, it still sounds like a lot. In my practice, my patients average between 15-30 units of Botox/Jeuveau for a brow lift. Please make sure you are under the care of an experienced physician. Best wishes.

Answer: Botox brow lift Hello Awesome990, thank you for your question. While 120 units of Jeuveau in one appointment is not unheard of, this is a lot even for a whole face correction. For just a brow lift, the provider would need to inject the glabella (20-30 units), the outer brows/orbicularis oculi muscle (5-10 units), and *possibly* the forehead in very strategic places, depending on the size of your frontalis muscle and muscle movement. The maximum dose we typically see in our younger patients on the forehead is about 15 units because yes, you are correct, a brow droop is just one of the several complications that can occur from over injection of the forehead. By these calculations, your treatment at most would be 55 units of Jeuveau. It is difficult to assess why this provider quoted you 120 units, but you may want to ask them for a breakdown of this treatment plan, and/or get a second opinion. I hope this helped! Best of luck. Answer: Forehead treatment Yes, 120 units of Juveau is much too high for a forehead and brows treatment. Are you maybe confusing this with 120 units of Dysport? I encourage you to discuss this with your injector prior to treatment.

Answer: 27 years old- Is 120 units of Jeuveau in forehead and brows too much for first time? If I had to guess, your doctor suggested 40 units of neurotoxin for your frown area, not 120. Some people may require 120u of Botox for a full forehead treatment if they have deep lines, but this would not be common for someone in their 20s. Hope this helps. Dr Joseph

Answer: Dose seems high. Forehead botox drops the brow. Hi, when asked to do a botox browlift, I injected the crow’s feet area with an extra drop under the outer 1/3 of the brow to replace the brow depressor muscle (orbicularis oculi) which can pull the eyebrows down when contracting. I use 20 unit total for both sides. When people complain of forehead wrinkles or overactive eyebrow lifting, the forehead itself is injected with botox (or Jeuveau/Dysport/Xeomin). This dosage is also around 20 units for a starting dose. This will lower the eyebrows and smooth the forehead. The forehead muscle we are injecting is called the frontalis and it needs to be active to lift the eyebrows. So the frontalis is the eyebrow elevator muscle. The eyebrow is like the bow/ribbon in the center of a tug of war. On one team is the eyebrow elevators and the other team is the eyebrow depressors. To make the elevator team win, we only need to botox the depressor side a little bit and the elevator team will win. If I botox both teams, more money will be spent, for a draw. On the upside, you will be very frozen, so no wrinkles. Hope that makes some sense. Best, Dr. Yang
