Compression is certainly important, but I don't think it really matters which brand you are using.  In my office we typically ask patients to wear any comfortable girdle or corset they like after the drains are removed.  The garment will NOT affect your outcome as long as it prevents a seroma from forming.Good Luck!

We keep several different styles at our facility that we use depending on the patient and how they are healing.  I would recommend you speak to your surgeon as he knows best what was done at time of surgery and where you are as far as healing goes.Good luck

Thank you for sharing your question and congratulations on your procedure.  I would recommend reaching out to your surgeon's office for a recommendation on brand and style of garment.  Marena and Veronique make quality garments but if your swelling is minimal you may be able to use a Spanx garment was well.  Hope this helps.

Marena makes quality post operative support garments. You should also follow your plastic surgeon's advice regarding level of physical activity and use of a compression garment. Hope this helps!

I usually have patients wear their initial garment for 3-6 weeks. I do not usually recommend anything after that. Some surgeons do not recommend garments at all.  Best of luck.

Congratulations on your your new physique after a tummy tuck and liposuction. By your eighth week you should be feeling (and looking) great. I have my patients wear compression for 6 weeks total. Anything beyond that may facilitate some resolution of edema but by 8 weeks there isn't much you can change or damage. The most critical aspect of compression is to prevent the development of seroma and to prevent pleating in the undermined/tunneled skin in the first few weeks after surgery. These issues should be resolved by eight weeks. That being said, make sure to discuss this with your surgeon as every surgeon is particular about their postoperative care.

Compression garments help to provide support and may help decrease swelling and bruising to some extent after surgery.

The brand isnt as important as the fit of the garment. A poorly fitted compression garment may do more harm than good. 



Good compression garments may be taken in or tailored to fit more appropriately after surgery. Check with your surgeon to make sure you are getting the modt out of the pontial benefits of postop compression garments
