Dr. Blagg work is outstanding very professional he is a Top breast surgeon. I highly recommend him you will not regret the wonderful results. short story I had an amazing experience with beautiful results - I couldn’t be happier with my breast augmentation results.
Dr. Blagg and his team are amazing! I had my first ever consultation for a BA with him and immediately knew he was the surgeon for me (booked surgery the same day.) Very informative, comforting and attentive! He listened to my desires and did not urge me to go bigger, was present along with his coordinator Janis to answer all questions leading up to surgery and performed a quick and easy procedure. Recovery was so easy and painless and he called to check up in the days after surgery and has met with me in his office any time I emailed with any concerns. His nurse Mariah is the best and responds promptly any time I reach out. I couldn't be happier with my experience/results and urge anyone that's unsure to go to Dr. Blagg at Synergy!
For over 20 years I have been wanting a tummy tuck. My husband is not a fan of elective surgery but decided to go with me for a consult. I’m 5’5 and weigh 140lbs but after having kids my stomach was stretched horribly, leaving me with so much extra skin and stretch marks. When I met Dr Blagg I knew right away he was the person I wanted to do my surgery. His bedside manner is second to none! He didn’t pressure me and in fact told me I didn’t need muscle repair and would not cause me additional pain by doing something I did need. I appreciated his honesty. After leaving his office my husband and I were both impressed and I immediately booked and paid for my surgery. Yesterday I had my surgery and the staff were absolutely wonderful. I can’t lie it has been a painful day but Dr Blagg has called to check on me through the night and all day today. I have some swelling and it’s painful to walk and get in a comfortable position. I will update later with before and after pics. Updated on 26 Apr 2021: It has only been 3 weeks since my surgery and I have seen a huge transformation! I’m walking upright and most of my swelling is gone. I’m truly impressed with Dr. Blagg’s work and my belly button looks amazing! For those who are on the fence about doing it, I won’t lie the pain was real but the joy that I have received from the results outweighs the pain. For the first time in 20 years I purchased a 2 piece bikini and I’m so excited to show off my flat stomach. Also, since the surgery my breast have gone up a cup size and my husband has no complaints about that!
I am a 48 year old mother of 4. I’ve always wanted larger breast. I had a previous tummy tuck prior to having my last two children. I’ve recently lost almost 30lbs, so I decided to treat myself to BA and a mini tummy tuck. The staff at Synergy was so nice and helpful. I went back and forth on the size and landed somewhere in the middle of bilateral 415 dual plane soft touch implants. Updated on 14 Jan 2021: Today is 2 weeks. I'm glad to say they no longer feel like they are in my throat! LOL. I've started massaging on day 6. I have a burning sensation at times. It reminds you of when your breast would start filling up with milk, especially when I drink something. I think they are making fairly good progress. One seems slightly fuller than the other. I will focus on massaging more; however, it is difficult to do while working. Updated on 27 Jan 2021: Today is exactly 4 weeks. Things are progressing well. One breast is dropping quicker than the other one but I hear that is normal. Interestingly, I can hear the sound of “rubber” on one but I believe that is normal as well. They are beginning to feel normal. Morning boobs aren’t as bad. However, there are days when they feel like they are swollen and harder. When this occurs I try to massage more. Follow up next week.
I felt insecure about my nose shape. I researched various surgeons in the Austin area and decided to contact Synergy Plastic Surgeon in 2017. I met with Dr. Blagg and Janis and felt very comfortable. They are both so friendly, warm and most importantly very knowledgeable. Dr. Blagg listened to my concerns and really got what I wanted to achieve. My surgery took place in Sept 2018 (I had a baby in June 2018 hence the gap between consult and surgery) There are various reasons for selecting this practice and this surgeon: 1. Dr. Blagg is a board certified plastic surgeon. 2. Locations- The surgery was performed at their surgery center in Round Rock. It's right next door to one of their offices and also located down the road from St. David's Round Rock Medical Center, which he has privileges at. This was important to me because in the rare case of an emergency there is a hospital near by. The surgery center itself is right spot to their RR office. It is an accredited facility. There is also a second office in South Austin. Dr. Blagg gave me a great nose!! I love it so much and the best part is that no one at work or even friends/relatives noticed a thing. It's still me but with a better nose. Updated on 12 Jul 2020: Taken a few days before surgery. sept 2018 Updated on 12 Jul 2020: Bruising wasn’t too bad! It was gone within 10 days. Updated on 12 Jul 2020: Pictures taken after getting my splint removed. I believe it was 10 days after surgery. Updated on 12 Jul 2020:
I booked my initial consultation back in March but due to COVID-19 and ever changing guidelines and restrictions, I had to reschedule more than once. Janis was extremely helpful in letting me know if these changes and getting a new appointment scheduled for me. She was always so sweet and always returned my calls in a timely manner. Felisha the nurse was very kind and also prompt in letting me know if any pre-op changes that I needed to complete because of COVID. My pharmacy had to verify something on my prescription and were able to get it squared away with them within an hour after I dropped it off. As a pharmacy technician, that says so much! It can be really hard to get ahold of doctors and nursing staff, it isn’t uncommon unfortunately that I don’t hear back for days. Dr.Blagg was so informative, kind and gentle. The day of my surgery went extremely smooth. I never felt any post op pain or needed the pain medication. I am only 3 weeks post op but my am beyond happy with my results, and they’re looking better every day. My scars are barely visible already. The size and placement is perfect, everything I imagined! I think I forgot to mention the price was extremely reasonable as well. I’m beyond happy and excited about my entire experience with everyone I interacted with. Definitely will recommend to any and everyone! Thank you so so much Dr.Blagg!
Dr. Blagg does phenomenal work! His work has amazed me and I am SO happy I went with him for my tummy tuck! I know I asked him a billion questions and he explained everything to me and didn’t make me feel rushed or silly for asking some of my questions! I know in a few years down the road I’ll be wanting to do a few other self improvements and there is no doubt he will be the Dr. I will go to!
I am 100 percent happy with my tummy tuck. I also had lipo on my flanks which left lots of bruising and soreness but you have to get massages after getting lipo you will heal faster and the drainage will go down better if you do massages. I read so many reviews on before and after especially on pain and recovery. When I had my tummy tuck done i was sore in the top middle of my tummy due to tightening of the muscles but I did not have pain like other women describe as if you can’t stand it. My pain was like a 5-6 right after. I only took pain medicine for 2-3 days than wasn’t on anything only took a muscle relaxer the 4rd day for a spasm in my tummy. I also had to take stool softeners for a couple of days but really recommend muralax instead. I only walked slouched over for about 4-5 days. I only used a walker for 2 days didn’t need it to walk at all just for support to get up off the toilet. I slept on my recliner with plenty of pillows for a week & 1/2 than placed some steps next to my bed to change to my bed. You won’t sleep on your belly for months due to the pulling and discomfort of your scar and your tummy will feel weird when you stretch due to the tightening of the muscles on the inside but starts feeling normal again after 2 months. I was back at work a week after my surgery with drains I took one out myself and had dr take out the second I hid my drains in Fanny pack lol. Your incision burns for about 3 weeks from it healing but easy to take care of. I don’t regret my tummy tuck At all I’d do it all over again. Everyone handles pain differently and I wish I’d done mine sooner. It’s been 2 months since my surgery and I feel like it’s been 5-6 months already I just don’t sleep on my belly yet and I just started sleeping on my sides with pillows tucked underneath for comfort. Also I can’t forget you will have swelling I think mine is still there sometimes but I try to wear my waist trainer to help out with the swelling. If your married I know it comes to mind how long you have to wait till you have sex and I waited 3 1/2 weeks of course with no weight on top of you but not everyone is ready or feels comfortable with it so based on you. Good luck and you won’t regret your tummy tuck after you get dressed up.
I'd always been a little uneven growing up, which I knew was normal. But, when I started getting into fitness and weight lifting regularly, after about two years, "a little uneven" became obviously lopsided as well as both starting sag. I knew I wanted to change this but it took about a year of sitting on it to finally pull the trigger. I couldn't find any doctors around me that I trusted, so I drove four hours to Synergy in Round Rock, and I don't regret it a bit! Worth every mile! I met Dr. Kerr my first visit and then had Vlasta help me try on the sizes. Their office is way more professional than other ones I had visited. The sizers were the kind that have a little cup cut out of the back side so they really "fit" over your boob and give you a better idea what they will look like. Dr Kerr asked Vlasta to let me try the 400cc and 450cc based on what I told him. When she put the 400cc on I loved it!!! So we tried the 450cc and honestly the size difference was very hard to notice. They recommended 450cc because I was going under muscle, so the 450cc would actually appear more like 400cc due to being underneath my muscle. I struggled with that because I'm SUPER active and I didn't want anything to get in the way of me continuing to do so. I chose Saline over Silicone after tons of research. The price was not an issue, this was just what I felt comfortable with having in my body. Dr. Blagg also really liked the idea of doing of Saline for me because the "inspiration pictures" I had shown them were of very round breasted women. After thinking about size for a couple weeks, I decided to go with somewhere between 400cc and 450cc since I knew I loved 400cc, but was weary about the idea of 450cc, because it just sounded too big in my head. I left it up to Dr. Blagg in the operating room what the final numbers would be. When operating day came, I showed up to the surgery center, changed myself into the gown, met the nurses, and talked with Dr. Blagg to confirm what I wanted. He took another look at me to help me decide where in the 400-450cc range I'd be, but ultimately, since I was lopsided, he wouldn't know for sure until he could sit me up in the operating and make sure they match. I ended up with Saline, round, moderate profile, filled to 410cc and 450cc, and they are perfect. My incision was inframammary (under breast) and placed under muscle. Dr. Blagg was the kindest man I've ever spoken to in any medical profession. Truly, he can be drawing on your chest with marker as you're about to be cut open and somehow he just makes you feel safe. There was never a moment on operation day that I worried I was making a mistake or that it wouldn't turn out wonderful. He answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns with depth and honesty. He looks you in the eye every time he speaks to you, and I think his smile is on his face 24-7, and it's very genuine. My husband and I were so very pleased with everything he did, said, etc. After I was marked up, had an IV lead in my arm, signed a bunch of papers and all that good stuff, Dr Blagg left the room and a few minutes later the nurse came in to get me. We walked together, and I actually walked myself into the operating room and laid myself on the operating table, fully awake and alert, no meds at this point. Thankfully I'm not one to get very nervous and the thought of surgery does not frighten me, so if that's you, I could total imagine this part freaking people out!!! You see allllll the stuff that's about to be used on you, so don't look around if you're not into that. Still, Dr. Blagg is there just smiling as big as ever, talking you through what's going on, and you're asleep in less than 30 seconds from getting on the table if I had to guess. The surgery took exactly an hour, my husband thinks a little less, and I woke up very easily, just very thirsty! The nurses gave me as much water as I wanted right away, and I laid there for maybe 10 minutes before they said I could go whenever I felt like trying to get up. I was bandaged with an Ace wrap and I had no pain at all when I woke up. It just felt like I had done a lot of pushups! I was very dizzy for the first few hours after leaving, but I napped 90% of the time the first few days so it wasn't an issue. We stayed in a hotel near by since we came from out of town, and saw nurse Felicia the next morning to unwrap me and put me in the soft bra I brought. "The Reveal Party" was NOT what I expected. I did tons of research but I never came across what everyone calls "drop and fluff." I had no idea they would look so WEIRD at first, so I was not pleased at all when I got unwrapped, I was honestly terrified. I knew they'd be super high up at first, but I didn't realize that meant my nipples would be at the very bottom of them giving them a very different shape and appearance compared to the end result that I had pictured in my head. Felicia and my husband saw it all over my face when I looked in the mirror and she quickly explained to me how they will change over the few months. She taught me the three massages I could start doing, and told me I could shower the next day. I am restricted to not moving my elbows above my shoulders, not exercising at all, and not *submerging* in water such as bathtubs/pools/lakes/oceans for the first month. When we got all the way home (I slept the whole 4 hours) I had a friend's recliner waiting on me and that's where I spent the next three days and nights. I stayed on top of my medication schedule to the T, even waking up at night with alarms to not get behind on them. I've had ZERO pain from immediately post-op to today at 12 days post-op. I'm going back to work today. I took all the medications as prescribed the first 4-5 days which I think made a huge difference from anyone who's had a painful or tough experience. 6 days post-op the antibiotic was giving me extreme heart burn and acid reflux so with permission from the doctors I ended that as well. I was extremely constipated the first 4-5 days which was the only other uncomfortable part while taking those meds. The other side effects/issues I had *after the fact* must have been from taking the pain meds and muscle relaxers so often for that many days. I had never taken those kind of meds before and I'm not sure if it was a side effect or a true withdrawal, but after I stopped them on day 4/5 from day 6 to about day 10 I had serious nausea almost all day long and no appetite (very unlike me). That did subside and today, on day 12, I feel great. Still no pain, and really no discomfort either. They look pretty much the same as day 1 post-op but I love them already! I know they have a bit of changing to do over the next 3-12 weeks but I am so pleased with my entire experience and I know they are going to "drop and fluff" perfectly. From initial visits to now, this was all a lot easier and better than some of my friends' experiences, and I really think driving the four hours to see Dr. Blagg at Dr. Kerr's office was worth every bit of the drive + the hotel + the future drives for post op appointments. I loved every staff member in the surgery center, and I could not praise Dr. Blagg enough. Updated on 4 Aug 2019: At 4 weeks I was cleared to workout again! Yay! Doing everything except for pushups and any overhead pulling motions. Realizing that I need a wardrobe is kind of a bummer buttttt I LOVE my results and needing new tops is an easy thing to replace over time. Updated on 17 Nov 2019: They have changed SO much over the past 5 months. I love every inch of them, the size, the placement, the comfort. So impressed. I’m able to be JUST as active as I was pre op, working out daily with the only change being lighter chest workouts.
I had an absolutely amazing experience with Dr. Blagg and Janis! Every staff member that I came in contact with was extremely friendly and made me feel at ease! My recovery was a breeze! I will recommend anyone looking for any plastic surgery to use Dr. Blagg. Although I'm only one month post op. I am loving my new boobs. He did an amazing job! They're exactly what I wanted. He took his time to listen to my needs and my expectation and he excelled at giving me the look I wanted. I will definitely go back. Thanks Dr. Blagg!
Hello, Thanks for your question- There are many options today when it comes to implants so it can be confusing. Most of the current versions of silicone implants are some form of a "gummy bear" implant. In my practice, most patients end up going with the Allergan Soft Touch "gummy bear" implant. This is a smooth round implant that is meant to keep volume at the top and central portion of your breasts. The best way to decide which implant is best for you is to visit a plastic surgeon in your area and make sure that you feel comfortable with his/her explanation regarding the different options. All the best in your decision!Dr. BlaggAustin, TX
Hello,It is possible to do both at the same time, but just remember that fat injections will add volume but will appear different than an implant. Most notably, it will sit much more naturally. You may want a few rounds of fat grafting to get the volume you desire but this is something a plastic surgeon can talk to you about at a consultation. Best wishes in your journey,Dr. BlaggAustin, TX
Hello,If you are having your capsule removed at the time of explant, it is typical to leave a drain so that you don't get a "seroma" or permanent fluid collection. Some may do things like place sutures in the pocket to close it down but there should be some explanation as to how the space that was once there (with an implant) is going to seal back down. I recommend having a discussion with your surgeon about this and making sure you feel comfortable with the explanation before your surgery. All the best in your journey,Dr. BlaggAustin, TX
Hello, It seems you're best suited for a full tummy tuck. This is the only way to improve the appearance of your entire abdomen and the most straight-forward way to repair your diastasis. Best next step is to get a consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon so he/she can explain the procedures to you.All the best!Dr. BlaggAustin, TX
Hello,This sounds normal as this area can be difficult to heal. The best course is to keep follow-up with your surgeon so he/she can monitor healing. All the best, Dr. BlaggAustin, TX
