I am about 4-5 years post op. I recently noticed when I raise my left arm, my left implant appears to collapse. Can this be fixed without surgery or is revision surgery necessary?
Answer: Implant deformity - can this be fixed without surgery? To definitely answer this question would require an examination of your breasts. but your photos suggest that surgery may be necessary to improve your condition,.

Answer: Revision This may be related to scarring in the area below the areola/nipple. You will likely need a revisionary surgery to truly address the issues that are going on in the photo you posted. This is my professional opinion. Best of luck!

Answer: Implant position An in person evaluation is best, but from your photos it appears you will need surgical intervention to correct your concern. It appears you may benefit from a lift as the nipple position is low on the chest wall. See a board certified plastic surgeon near you to learn more.

Answer: Revision surgery Dear Michyyy13, breast revision surgery is the most difficult plastic surgery procedure performed. Botched breast surgery alters normal tissue planes and laxity, the ability of breasts to heal properly, and leaves scar tissue that dramatically affects the level of difficulty of the corrective surgery. Many patients come in to correct poor outcomes from their initial surgeries. The most common problems are due to implant malposition, bottoming out of the implant, poor scarring, and incorrect implant size. While the type of revision required will depend on the result of the previous surgery and the desired result of the patient, some revisions involve extensive pocket repair that may or may not need specialized external bras.If you are considering breast surgery revision, you should speak with a board certified plastic surgeon and have yourself properly assessed. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Also, you have to make sure that your surgeon understands your breast augmentation goals.
