This is a great option because it requires no surgery or general anesthesia and the fat can dissolve nicely. However, your diabetes must be very well controlled. Be sure you see an experience and trained injector.
There is no reason you cannot have kybella if you have diabetes. It has no effect systemically, it only works locally. Best, Dr. Emer.
While Kybella has been studied and that is the basis for its FDA approval, it has not specifically been studied in diabetics. I think the answer for you will depend on other factors related to your diabetes. For example if you have kidney disease and retinopathy, I would not recommend Kybella. These complications from diabetes reflected microvascular injury related to diabetes. It is one of the reasons that some with diabetes have impaired healing. Foreseeably, this could change how your body reacts and responds to Kybella. On the other hand, if you have no retinopathy and no evidence of diabetes related kidney disease, you are more likely to be fine with Kybella.
You can absolutely do Kybella treatments being a Type 1 Diabetic. Kybella dissolves the fat inside the fat cells, and therefore will not interfere with your Insulin or Diabetes in any way.
If your Diabetes is well controlled and you do not have any diabetes relates disseases, then you are at no risks to proceed with Kybella treatment. Make sure to inform your family doctor about your intentions as well to inform your Kybella provider about your condition of being diabetic. Good luck!

Kybella is a localized treatment to decrease fat tissue in the jowls. Having Diabetes is not a contraindication to getting Kybella. Keeping your blood sugar under control is very important, but will not have an effect on the outcome of treatment with Kybella.
Assuming that your diabetes is being treated and you are currently in good health, I don't see that there would be any problem in your getting a Kybella treatment. However, make sure that your surgeon knows about your diabetes at your consultation.Kindly,Kouros Azar
Thank you foryour question annaf47. Kybellais the first and thus far only FDA-approved non-surgical treatment for thedouble chin. The only absolute contraindication to a Kybella treatment is an infection in the treatment area. Diabetes is not a contraindication to receiving a Kybella treatment. However I like to ensure that all medical conditions of my patients are under control prior to any treatment. We are happy to offer free consultations. Pleaseconsult with a doctor for specific recommendations. Good luck!
Dear AnnaIf your diabetes is under control, I cannot think of any reason that you should not pursue Kybella treatment. Though the FDA cleared Kybella for treatment of submental fat, we must remember that this therapy is fairly new. Risks, though they may exist, have not yet surfaced for those with diabetes. I really hope this helps!
Thank you for your question. Kybella is a permanent treatment for eliminating fat under the chin. The time between treatments will not hurt the results however you will not see your final results (meaning after all the treatments needed) for some time if you wait between treatments for a period...
Thank you for your question! Kybella acts locally and it should not interfere with IVF. Share your concerns with your physician so s/he can address your concerns. Good luck!
I recommend that my patients take it easy for 24 hours after their Kybella injections. Going to the sauna a few days after your injection won't have any effects on your results.
