Q: Do I have inverted v deformity? (photos)
Dear Brenda, Thank you for your question. I cannot tell from your photos if you have an inverted V deformity although in the photos it does not look like it. Your concern about large nostrils is also hard to determine without seeing your before photos. I always encourge people to maintain a good relationship with their surgeon and go back and ask them to review the photos with you. Your original surgeon is most likely to help you if you keep the communication going. If you cannot bring yourself to do this for whatever reason, an exam in person is going to give you more information than just from looking at photos. You can ask the doctor if they specialize in secondary rhinoplasty. I hope that helps. Thank you.
Q: Two months post op, I have uneven breasts. Do I need a revision? (photos)
Hi Elizabeth, I have reviewed your photos and agree with the other doctors comments that your baseline asymmetry before surgery accounts for most of what you are seeing right now however, the breasts will change over the first six months after surgery so it is possible you are not at your final result. The best thing is to maintain good communication with your doctor and relax for now and wait till at least six months to evaluate if you need to do anything. Thanks for writing.
Q: Still looking aged and currently have time for recovery. Suggestions to attain a long lasting, natural and youthful appearance?
Based on your photos, you would benefit from a lower face and neck lift with SMAS tightening which means the muscle layer would be lifted and tightened as well as a fractional Co2 lase treatment. You can do the laser now before summer but its probably best to do it after the facelift. I would do some laser work on the day of your surgery around the mouth and forehead, the rest on a separate day for safety in my hands. I hope this helps.
Q: Kybella or chin liposuction?
Without photos, it is hard to give you any kind of accurate recommendation. Liposuction is the gold standard for fat removal, but some patients either don't or can't tolerate surgery or the downtime that is associated with surgery. For them, Kybella is a great non-surgical option. It is extremely effective for the right patient but will take multiple treatments.
