The procedure was done 9 months ago and it was called a concept facelift which addresses the Smas muscle and cuts away loose skin. My disappointment caused me to ask surgeon who said lower face is ok but maybe lipo in the neck will smooth it out? I don’t have any excess fat is this the way forward?
Answer: Lipo is not enough At this point, you might consider a more extensive face and neck lift, which addresses the platysma as well as the SMAS. It looks as if your jowls and neck need to be further addressed. Its best to go for a personal consultation for any further discussion.

Answer: Jawline and neck contouring In general, short scar facelift techniques have better outcomes when the skin elasticity is good. In the context of more significant sun damage the tension created in surgery is short-lived. Addressing your concerns would require a more significant intervention on the SMAS layer in the face and platysma muscles in the neck. There is no significant amount of fatty tissue under the skin of the neck, and liposuction is not likely to produce the results that you hope for. Depending on the degree of neck definition that you seek, volume reduction under the chin can be achieved by the deep neck techniques.

Answer: You need a more definitive procedure The concept facelift is a procedure marketed as a particular surgeon's own type of local anaesthetic minimal facelift. Unfortunately for more effective results you need a more complete procedure which involves more extensive work on the SMAS and platysma ideally under general anaesthetic. You have some muscle bands in the neck and combined with a SMAS elevation a platysmaplasty would be recommended

Answer: Facelift Hello and thank you for the question. You should discuss your concerns with your board-certified plastic surgeon. There is persistent skin laxity and you benefit from a formal facelift procedure. Best

Answer: Concepts lifts Thanks for the question. Concept lift is a minimal facelift technique. It is not designed to address significant signs of ageing unless you are willing to accept minimal results. You would however be an excellent candidate for a Deep Plane extended Face and Neck lift combined with neck liposuction. This will blend both maximal rejuvenation changes in both the neck and the face. I hope this helps. Dr. Callum Faris

Answer: What can I do now? I had a facelift that didn't give what I expected. I tell patients, any time you hear a facelift with a name, just walk out. Most these names are for marketing and are misleading. At this point you show under correction of hour jowls and neck. You need a facelift that deals with both these areas. This would be done by lifting your SMAS and platysma layers in your cheeks and repairing the platysma muscles under your chin. This is what I call a facelift. Some would call this operation face and neck lift. I don't think there is any other way to give you long lasting results.
