My sideburns are now up much closer to my ear, hair is now growing there do I now have to have laser hair removal surgery to create a new hairline, Is this normal or should the incision have been made elsewhere
Answer: Facelift , recovery , healing , male facelift Dear John_VintenThank you for your question! The sideburns in male facelift are the most difficult to plan for and execute well- to make the surgery non-detectable. If you feel that they are not the correct shape - then laser hair removal is an option. With Warm RegardsTrevor M Born MD

Answer: Male facelift In facelift surgery, placement of the incisions and therefore of the scars is a trade-off between the amount of correction required, individual benefits and limitations of each alternative and patient preferences. Ideally, this should be covered prior to surgery but, in some instances, in surgery it becomes obvious that there is more skin laxity than anticipated. By that stage the incision has already been established. When the incisions are placed in such a way that the sideburn is not displaced, there are potential problems with scar visibility. It would be best to discuss your concerns with your surgeon, but laser hair removal can be a consideration.

Answer: Male sideburns and Face-lift Positioning Thank you for your question. Typically, with the male Facelift, this entails careful planning of the scars and if the placement of the scars are incorrect, this can pull on the area and pull your side-burn hair further back moving the hair to where it wouldn't particularly grow, not following your natural hairline.Laser hair treatment is definitely an option for you to get rid of the unwanted hairs. It would be a good idea for you to share your concerns with your plastic surgeon. Good luck!

Answer: Facelift for Men It takes special techniques and unique incision placement to achieve a natural result in a male facelift. This includes attention to the hairline, removing hair follicles in strategic sites, preserving some unique male features as well as attention to the thicker tissues in males. In your particular case, laser hair removal could be helpful. Discuss your concerns with your plastic surgeon, or seek a facelift specialist with significant experience in male facelift for second opinion.
