Zorgvuldig heb ik vooraf uitgezocht bij welke arts ik mijn operatie wilde laten doen. Bij Face Institute ben ik op de juiste plek terechtgekomen. Meerdere gesprekken hebben plaatsgevonden (live en via face-time, omdat ik niet in de buurt woonde). Uitgebreid besproken wat mijn wensen waren en wat mogelijk was. Zo zijn we tot een plan gekomen. In februari 2024 heb ik een deep plane facelift en endoscopische voorhoofdlift ondergaan. Ik wilde absoluut op mezelf blijven lijken en dat is echt ontzettend goed gelukt! Van de meest sceptische mensen kreeg ik nadien reacties als: die arts heeft fantastisch werk geleverd, tot die heeft een lintje verdiend. Ik kan het helemaal met ze eens zijn.
De samenwerking tussen de artsen Faris en Schmidt (en hun team) is zo goed op elkaar afgestemd. Dat gaf een gevoel dat ik in veilige, zorgvuldige handen was.
De operatie is goed verlopen en ook de nazorg en de nacht die ik daarna in de kliniek verbleef waren zeer goed. Dingen werden niet mooier voorgesteld dan dat ze in werkelijkheid waren. Want ja, het is gewoon heftig, maar het herstel is echt goed verlopen. Elke dag ben ik nog blij wanneer ik in de spiegel kijk. Mijn dank is daarom heel groot!

I had a previous rhinoplasty elsewhere (in my country) what is went wrong.I have extremly thin skin , my nose tip was upturned and my cartilages stucked out. I was very disappointed about my result and didnt like look at the mirror...
So I made my search. I knew that my case was very difficult because of my thin skin, so I wanted a really professional doctor who is good at revision rhinoplasty, thats why I chose Dr Faris and I didnt regret it.
First of all he is very kind, he was always available before and after the surgery as well. And it was very important for me. Always answered my questions. And didnt make any false promises. He made my nose exactly what he said and he made his best.
My revision surgery was one year ago , so its already healed. Im very satisfied, happy with the result and I like myself again:)

Mijn ervaring was uitstekend. Na een eerdere revision, ergens anders door een andere dokter uitgevoerd, was ik mijn vertrouwen een beetje kwijt. Maar dokter Faris heeft extreem veel kennis, meet dingen op en is up to date met de nieuwste technieken. Dat is ook al geruststellend. Daarnaast zijn ze professioneel goede voorzorg en hele goede nazorg je bent niet zomaar een nummer. Ik ben zo blij met het resultaat en vooral ook dat dokter Faris me wilde opereren. Ik leid mijn leven nu weer onbezorgd en ben daar heel dankbaar voor. Ik raad Dokter Faris zeker aan.

It has been almost six months since my rhinoplasty by doctor Faris and i am very satisfied with the final result. I felt very comfortable with my doctor and he listens very carefully to your preferences and shows you what he can do. I did not want my nose to change a lot but i did not like the bump on my nose. Doctor Faris made some pictures and told me what te plan was and always asked me if i was oke with it. After the surgery i felt no pain and with the weeks you could see my nose straighten more and more while the swelling subsides. I would recommend doctor Faris and i am very happy with the end result!

Dr Faris created a realistic and skilled treatment plan, drawing on an impressive depth and breadth of experience — which he communicated clearly and kindly.

The surgery went smoothly, requiring several specialized techniques (including cathoplasty, palate grafting and tissue lifting). His colleague Dr Schmidt likewise provided excellent care, including postoperative wound management and fat grafting.

I had a previous nosejob (NOT by dr Faris) years ago and it was a total mess, I was traumatized and cried every day. I didn't looked like myself anymore. I told the surgeon I wanted to have a natural result but my nose after surgery looked not natural at all. It was extremly small, upturned tip and there was a big 'gap' in the nosebridge.
I had a revision 2 years after (NOT by dr Faris). It was certainly better than before but it still looked not natural at all, still small and piggy-ish.
Couple years after my first revision I had my consultation with dr Faris (and dr Susan Schmidt). I wanted to see if there is anything possible to have a normal looking nose again. Dr Faris and Susan Schmidt were so kind and proffessional. They really took the time for me and were very understanding. He said it was a difficult job because my skin was thight and thin + I needed a rib bonegraft. I was cleary traumatized of my first botched nosejob and they recommend me to so some mental work before surgery. I did EMDR for the trauma and a couple months after I did the surgery. I was so happy with the result. It was better than I expected. Finally I have a normal looking nose. Still not what it was before all the nose surgeries, but it's a normal looking nose. It is now more than 2 years ago that dr Faris (dr S. Schmidt + dr. H Vuyk) changed my life for the better. Anyone who thinks about nose surgery, dr Faris and his team I would definity recommend. I initially went to Dr Faris for a second opinion having spoken to another surgeon. It was clear immediately that he is an absolute expert in his field. I was particularly grateful that he was focused on a healthy and natural result from the surgery, and did not want to overpromise in terms of results. I had both rhinoplasty and septoplasty in a single procedure, which meant a complicated surgery. Six weeks on I am extremely happy with the result and the level of post-operative care offered by Dr Faris and his team has been superb.

The treatment I received from Face Institute was superb from start to finish, and I can't thank them enough for all they did for me. I had a septoplasty and rhinoplasty procedure completed to fix a number of issues with my nose and Dr Faris was successfully able to resolve all of those issues in a single procedure, whilst other places had said that two or more operations would be required. The advice given was pragmatic and there was no over promising in terms of the results of the treatment. I would recommend Face Institute to anybody considering a similar procedure.

When I was 16 (1986) and 19 years (1989) old I had nose surgeries. But both times a few weeks after the surgeries they told me that they didn't succeed to make my nasal septum straight. So inside my nose it was crooked but also was my nose tip.
The last years I noticed that there was a bump on my nose and that my nose tip looks more crooked.
So I went to Dr Faris to see and hear what he could do for me. He took some pictures of my face and showed me how he good change my nose. Dr Faris was very kind and explained what he was going to do to fix my nose. They should take a piece of my rib to rebuild my nose and tip, and they would take away the bump. I was very excited and happy to see what good be done.
A few months later I got my surgery. The staff was very kind, caring and understanding to me, because I was nerveuse for the surgery. Also Dr Schmidt who assist Dr Faris was very kind and caring.
When I woke up my ear was also banded, because my rib was to hard so they had to take some piece cartilage out of my ear.
Two weeks later I saw my whole new nose for the first time by my apointment with Dr Faris. I was so happy and satisfied with my nose! Because he brought my tip up, he didn't have to change my nostrils. My nose was straight!! I couldn't be happier!! I had no visible scars on my nose, only underneath my tip but you don't see that.
No we are 6 months further and the swelling of my nose is subsided and I am so content with the result! Thank you Dr Faris and Dr Schmidt for my beautiful nose!
