Bachelorette party post tummy tuck?

At 3 weeks post-op you should start to feel more comfortable; in my practice I restrict heavy lifting and strenuous activity for 6 weeks after a tummy tuck. As long as you don't do these, you should be OK

Thank you for your question. In general you should be able to attend the bachelorette party and participate fully in the less active festivities such as the comedy club. You will still likely be sore from the tummy tuck, especially if you are having a muscle repair, and may find it difficult to do any dancing.  Voice your concerns to your surgeon. They are in the best position to help advise you.

Thanks for your question and congratulations on the big decision to have a tummy tuck.  As others have said, every plastic surgeon will have his or her own protocols.  Their protocol may change if you have any post-operative problems (wound healing problems, etc).  At the end of the day, the best advice should come from your surgeon.  Best of luck to you.

Attending
the bachelorette party should be no problem, but at less than 1 month post op
you will likely still be quite sore. Each surgeon will tailor post-op
instructions based on the patient’s unique situation, so talk to him or her
about your plans and follow the advice given. Depending on the activities
planned for the party, you may need to take it easier than your friends.
Vigorous dancing, for example, might be something to avoid. The last thing you
want to do is compromise proper healing and recovery.

As 3
weeks post tummy tuck is still in the early stage of recovery, you’ll
definitely want to play it by ear and see how you’re feeling. That said, I
typically suggest that my patients should be able to resume light duty within 1
to 2 weeks following surgery, so as long as you take it easy, you should be
fine to enjoy a night out. As for drinking, the main concern here is simply
whether or not you are on any pain medications that could negatively interact
with alcohol. And as always, address this concern with your surgeon, who will
be best suited to answer any post-op questions you may have.

I am pleased that you are thinking ahead. Yes, you should be ok. Just do not do anything strenuous and avoid drinking much alcohol. Also consult with your plastic surgeon during your recovery to see if you are doing well enough. You will still be wearing your support garment.

You should be okay to attend the party. I would let your plastic surgeon know as the time gets closer so there are no concerns. You might want to avoid drinking and dancing.
