My main insecurity is my hip dips and is the main reason I'm getting a BBL. I've now booked my surgery for early next year and during my video consultation my surgeon said it looks like I had tight skin. Meaning 1. The fat will be under pressure which makes vein production slower so less fat survives in this area. 2. If there's not a lot of space between my skin and muscle he won't be able to inject as much fat. Is hoping for rounder / filled in hip dips a realistic expectation to have?
Answer: Great results Hello @deannamaraj.Every patient is different when it comes to fat grafting, especially the area of the hipdips. The skin tightness can limit the volume of the transferred fat to this area. There are also some big factors that help with fat survival: 1. Use a BBL pillow to sit down for the first weeks and avoid laying on your back, 2. Eat healthy and enough after surgery, 3. Don't smoke Plus the liposuction of the abdomen and back will already improve your shape and your waist to hip ratio. I recommend you to find a board certified plastic surgeon and talk about your expectations, aftercare etc. Best regards! Dr. Alexander Hamers, MD

Answer: Candidate for BBL? From this single picture, it seems that you're a very good candidate for this procedure that would aim to remove deposits from the flanks and inner thighs and transfer this tissue to fill the hips. A clinical examination is necessary to estimate the volume of fat tissue available and needed. In the picture attached to my profile you'll see a patient with very similar frame.

Answer: BBL candidate Dear Deannamaraj, based on your photos, you look like a good candidate for a BBL. Liposuction of your abdomen, back and flanks should give you more curves and hourglass shape and fat transfer to buttocks should give you more projection. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon because only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: It is a realistic expectation The hip dips are commonly corrected during Brazilian Butt lift to have a smooth transition from the abdomen to the outer thighs and contour a more hourglass figure. As your surgeon says, there can be a limit to the amount of fat injected at one time, but I believe you could achieve rounded and filled in hip dips. It is difficult to fully assess how tight the skin is through photographs and/or video consultation. I would recommend an in-person consultation with your surgeon, so they can give you an idea of how much correction of the hip dips they can achieve.

Answer: Liposuction + BBL candidate Thank you for your question. Based on your picture you appear to be a good candidate for liposuction and my special technique Dominican Butt lift. The DOMINICAN BUTT LIFT (DBL) is my special technique of posterior body contour, developed after having done thousand of butt reshaping surgeries through the years in this field. In this regard, the DBL is more advanced and sophisticated technique than the simple butt-fat-fill as the classic BBL is described. Therefore, In the DBL, butt and hips are reshaped using Lipo sculpting techniques + fat transfer in specific butt areas and additional skin tightening treatment, attending the patient request.
