Hi! I really love the shape of my new body but after the surgery I noticed extra hair growth on my buttocks and thighs where the fat was injected and I also have blotchiness and it has been six months I’m not sure if this is normal or not and my doctor is way too busy to have a check in with me he is in Miami and does so many of these surgeries it’s not even funny I don’t know how he does all of this every day. Very upsetting. I love my outcome but hate the discoloration. And hair. PLEASE HELP
Answer: BBL results Dear ChloeDuggan, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: Blotchiness and extra hair on my buttocks 6 months after BBL? Hello @ChloeDuggan, thank you for your question. Depending on the surgical technique and approach, there may be some causes of inflammation for a period of time. There are generally predetermined times for a surgery. The early stages of recovery usually happen between the first and second months following surgery, while a full recovery can take up to eight months. The more technology used, the more quickly the tissues recover however it is important the expertise of the surgeon using this technology. Best wishes! Alana Gonzalez MD, FACS.

Answer: Why is there blotchiness and extra hair on my buttocks 6 months after BBL? Your chosen surgeon is too busy to respond??? Did you use a clinic setting???? This is a very rare occurrence following fat transfer with ecchymosis effect that has not resolved. Best to see specialized laser therapies to improve this residual discoloration. Sometime I have injected PRF in 3-6 sessions to likening areas (fee $1,000/session). As for ?new hair growth, I have never seen that effect after BBL surgery. Hair Removal laser therapy can effectively removal any new hair growth. A virtual consult would be helpful...

Answer: Assessing the outcome of a procedure To assess the outcome of a procedure patient should always include proper before and after pictures. If you don’t have before and after pictures to contact your surgeon and have them forward the ones they took.Your surgeon is also the person who you should follow up with him. He is responsible for the outcome of the procedure. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD

Answer: Hair growth and discoloration of buttocks 6 months post BBL Hi and welcome to our forum!Color photographic representation may not be totally accurate. However, there appears to be significant redness of both medial buttocks. If you were not sitting for a long time just prior to the photograph being taken, this is not normal. I also note an area of bluish discoloration of the right lateral buttock, suggesting bruising (?). There is noted to be an overgrowth of fine buttock hair.An examination is required to determine the nature of the discoloration. The rate and nature of hair growth may be temporarily disturbed by the inflammation of healing following surgery. This will usually subside with the passage of time. You might consider visiting your plastic surgeon in his / her office regarding the discoloration. Patients are added / subtracted from a surgeon's postoperative schedule every day. This will not be a "normal" scheduled postoperative visit. You should bring up your concern of a potential complication with the front office to set it up an appointment.Best wishes...
