The decision about whether or not to get injectable fillers ultimately comes down to your personal preferences and goals. If the appearance of your nasolabial folds bothers you and keeps you from feeling like you’re putting your best self forward, there’s no reason why you couldn’t get fillers now to help smooth them away. Depending on the product you choose, your results could last anywhere from 6 to 18 months before gradually fading away. So you do need to decide if maintaining fillers every year or so is something you want to start now or hold off until later. If you’re still on the fence, schedule a consultation with an experienced provider in your area to discuss your goals and treatment timeline in more detail.
First of all, there isn't a specific age when someone should begin using fillers. It is entirely a personal preference. With that being said, I would recommend that you have a consultation with an experienced injector. During this consultation, the injector will explain to you the various fillers used today, where they are typically injected, how long the last, etc. You can also ask for before and after photos from the injector or even show them a picture of you maybe a few years earlier when you felt the nasolabial folds weren't bothersome. Hope this helps!
If you do not like the look of your NLF you can definitely soften their look with injectable products. Preventative measures such as daily sunscreen, medical grade facial cleansers and creams are also helpful at your age. If you see an experienced injector you will not look different. The injector must be able to decide the best filler option for you to give you a natural outcome. Best of Luck!
It's less about the filler and more about the expertise of the injector. You'll want to see a board-certified cosmetic dermatologist to ensure that your results are subtle and natural-looking. I recommend fillers for the folds themselves but also lifting around the mouth and cheeks to build underlying anatomical support. In our practice we combine Sculptra with other fillers "layered" on top. If needed, lasers, radiofrequency treatments, Renuvion, and peels can be used in combination to get a more conservative natural look. I suggest seeing a facial sculpting expert for a formal consultation. Best, Dr. Emer
Hi,Age is mostly irrelevant when deciding to correct a facial feature that bothers you. What is critically important is if the area truly needs to be corrected, how much product to use and the specific type of filler needed. The nasolabial fold is a highly dynamic area and the fillers used in this area should be somewhat soft and ideally have some level of stretch - such as restylane defyne. Best,
Hi Unique305,Nasabial folds typically start making an appearance during the late 20’s so your assessment is correct. One syringe of filler can make the skin in this area plumper and smoother for several months. Whether you want to treat this area is entirely up to you.I would suggest seeking out a consultation with an experienced injector.Hope this helps,
If you don't like the way that your nasolabial folds look - go ahead and try some fillers! You can start getting fillers as young as age 18.. So you are definitely not too young. If for some reason you don't like the filler, you can always get it dissolved.Good luck!
Age is just a number! I always encourage patients to consider that we want to base treatment off of your clinical symptoms, not how old you are. I have seen young patients with deep lines and volume loss, and older patients with minimal wrinkles, the age you are does not need to dictate when it’s best to get treatment. That being said, you have beautiful features, I can see a small crease in your NL folds in this picture but it appears to be more of a depression in the dermis of the skin than an actual fold. I would suggest seeing an experienced injection specialist to evaluate if you would be a good candidate for filler in this area. If the line is deep enough, there are some thin fillers you can do in this area to hydrate and smooth the line. Other times, we suggest a few drops of dermal filler in the cheek to lift the fat pad that generally causes that area to fold over time. This can create a more natural result in many patients who have a deeper nasolabial fold.
if the fold is etched in, as it seems to be, i think a soft hyaluronic acid filler، such as belotero soft, is an excellent choice for a patient in their late 20’s. There is little to no downtime and Belotero is a dynamic filler, meaning it doesn’t leave any lumps under the skin.
The answer is why not ? Dermal fillers are reversible if made of HA. If you consult someone experience d they will guide you
An in person evaluation is really needed in order to give the best recommendation. If needed the remaining product can be dissolved with hyaluronidase. See an expert injector for an assessment.
It sounds very heart breaking what you are going through. It's strange that they don't want to dissolve the hyaluronic acid filler that went into your undereye area and lip. If it's a hyaluronic acid filler definetely can be dissolved...I would still ask to make an appointment as usually a...
I think the amount of eyelid showing above your lashes is asymmetric, and as one responder observed, if you look closely enough at other people, that is a very common area to have a little asymmetry. Whether it bothers you enough to have it addressed is a personal question that nobody can...
