One of my upper eyelids shows a lot more than the other, can this be fixed with fillers to make my eyelids symmetrical? How long do fillers like this last?
Answer: Improving Eye Shape with Fillers (Belotero, Volbella, Restylane Silk) You can obtain symmetry by utilizing fillers. I suggest consulting with a board certified cosmetic dermatologist or a facial plastic surgeon regarding this sort of treatment. Most fillers used in this area last between 8-12 months. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Fillers an option, but may not completely fix I think the amount of eyelid showing above your lashes is asymmetric, and as one responder observed, if you look closely enough at other people, that is a very common area to have a little asymmetry. Whether it bothers you enough to have it addressed is a personal question that nobody can decide for you. Filler can mask this asymmetry some, but it would be hard to make it completely symmetric. I would say fillers could get you 60-70% of the way there, and if you would be happy with that it's an option. Agree with other poster Dr. Taban that an ASOPRS oculoplastic specialist may be your best bet since fillers in the upper eyelid can be very tricky. I have seen it last longer than a year in this area but it's person-dependent based on how quickly your body resorbs it. Best of luck.

Answer: Eyelid asymmetry Some facial asymmetry is seen in almost everyone. The degree of asymmetry you have is minimal and I would leave it alone for the time being. If it worsens with age then I would consider addressing it.
