Can dermal filler in the under eye area cause chalazions?

Ever since I have started to have fillers for my tear troughs, I have been suffering from recurrent chalazions. Can filler cause chalazions? Also, after how long kenalog injection on chalazion, it is safe to have filler treatment in under eye area?

There is no known association between under eye filler injections and eyelid styes or chalazion. But best to wait on filler injection until chalazion treated.

Thank you for your question. If injected by someone who has experience injecting the tear trough area, filler should not cause chalazions. Dermal filler should be injected deep along the orbital rim, and usually away from the tear duct. You should let any eye issue resolve completely before having any filler treatment to this area. Chalazions are not from the filler. The tear troughs and the area the chalazions occur are 2 separate areas.  chalazions are caused by blocked mebomian gland ducts. 
Have the chalazion heal completely before getting fillers.
